Although Sam Smith is newly single, he won't be trying any of the dating apps that have become wildly popular these days.
"I made a statement recently about how Grindr and Tinder and those dating apps are just killing romance," the British singer explains to GQ. "People are losing the ability to just walk up to people in a bar and say hello. Sex is on tap, isn't it, with apps like that? It may work for some people, but I miss the mystery."
Sam also admits that he's attracted to bad boys, and we wonder if he's referring to his ex boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel, who he met on set of his music video for "Like I Can." "Like recently, I met two guys. One of them on paper is perfect and ticks all the boxes. The other is dangerous and-well, he ticks boxes actually, too," he reveals. "I've chosen him. I want that excitement."
It's a shame it didn't work out with him and Jonathan since they were so cute together, but we have the feeling that Sam, who's nominated for a whopping six Grammys and currently on tour, will be just fine.
