
The country singer recently revealed to Now With Ryan Fox that she wishes she could go to Los Angeles for the show, but that it's not the right time for her. She's almost due with her first child, and can't make the trip.
"Traveling at this point is not in the cards for me," she said. "But I will be eagerly watching and fingers crossed and all that."
Her hit song "Something in the Water" is nominated for best country solo performance, and her duet with Miranda Lambert on "Somethin' Bad" is up for best country duo/group performance.
Don't worry, Carrie doesn't have plans on staying home all year long. She has plans to hit the road this summer with baby in tow.
"I was gonna take some time off, but I got all of my baby ducks lined up in a row and was like, 'I'm kind of bored, so I'm gonna go write some more,'" she said. "I have a few shows this summer that I'm really excited about. And I'm excited to see how a baby fits into bus life. We've had to go back and design a bus. I was calling (Lady Antebellum's) Hillary Scott and was like, 'What do you do with a baby on tour?'"
