Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are both super successful models and in an industry that is so fiercely competitive, you have to really know who your friends are. Fortunately for Kendall and Gigi, they know they've got each other. In a new interview with E! News, Gigi says that her family and Kendall's family have actually known each other for years, but they didn't start hanging out until just recently. "We've only been friends for like a year now, but she's one of my best friends. She's so awesome," she explains.
And in case you were wondering - the models are not competitive with each other at all and Gigi has the absolute most awesome explanation as to why.
"I was always kinda told that when I was becoming a model, don't live with a model because you get competitive," she begins."But I don't really find that I get competitive with my friends, especially with someone like Kendall...we look nothing alike. So someone that's gonna want a Kendall is not gonna want a Gigi."
And if someone doesn't want a Gigi, that's their problem. "You kind of have to know your goals and know that if you're not right for certain jobs, then you shouldn't be doing them," the 19-year-old confidently explained. "If my body type isn't right for 'this' and they want me to change, then they can find another girl in that sense."
