Mandy Moore is back on the market.The former pop star and her husband Ryan Adams have ended their marriage after nearly six years together, with Ryan filing for divorce from Mandy, according to People.
News of the couple's divorce comes not long before what would've been their six-year wedding anniversary. Last year, the duo was all smiles at the celebration of their fifth anniversary, which they kicked off with a big bash.
"Celebrating love w the greatest friends and family last night. Feeling incredibly grateful today. #latergram #5yearbash #girlsvsguys," Mandy captioned the shot. Days before, she posted a photo of their marriage license with the caption, "The best 5 years...."
Although Mandy gushed over their relationship on Instagram, the couple was famously private about their marriage in public. Back in September 2014, Ryan hung up on a Melbourne radio station after they asked him about his wife. "I just don't share at all about my private life," he said before hanging up.
He went on to tell BuzzFeed, "Okay, so I just hung up because I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I'm sorry, but I won't repeat myself. The deal is this: I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it. Ever."
The couple tied the knot back in March 2009 in a private ceremony in Savannah, Georgia, only four weeks after they announced their engagement.
