"Only 4 out of 10 curly haired girls think their hair is beautiful," Dove states in its latest video campaign, which celebrates girls with curly hair.
In the clip, the girls dish on their locks, with 5-year-old Camilla kicking things off by answering 'no' when asked if she likes her curly hair.
"I want my hair to be straight, because when it's straight it's really smooth," 6-year-old Aisha added. She replied 'yes' when asked if she thought straight hair was more beautiful.
"It doesn't really feel good to have curly hair...I think about my hair that I don't want it anymore," 6-year-old Carina added, showing how she tries to tug her hair to make it straight, but it "doesn't work." Meanwhile, 11-year-old Jewel, who had a hair full of curly hair said, "sometimes I wish I could just rip it out."
"The best way to change how they feel about their curls, is to show them how you feel about yours," the company stated in the video. So, they asked the girls' family and friends to help out by throwing them an awesome curl celebration party.
"Girls are 7 more times likely to love their hair if people around them do," Dove stated. Check out the video above and tell us what you think of the campaign!
