So much for that Pre-med idea.A Florida teen managed to dupe a hospital staff and pose as a doctor for one month before he got caught, according to WSB-TV.
The outlet reported that the incident went down at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., and the faux doc got busted in an exam room with a patient while he was wearing a white coat with the St. Mary's logo, a stethoscope around his neck and a mask on his face.
"He presented himself with a patient of our practice and introduced himself as Dr. Robinson," Dr. Sebastian Kent, an OB/GYN at St. Mary's Medical Center told Fox 13. The teen was in the room with Dr. Kent while the real doc conducted the exam.
"The first thing I thought was, 'I am really getting old because these young doctors look younger every year," Dr. Kent said with a laugh. He ended up calling security who called police. When they arrived, the teen told police he's been a doctor for years.
The teen's mom said her son has an illness and had not been taking his medication. The hospital and police have decided not to press any charges against him.
