We can't think of a better place to meet Taylor Swift than in New York City. The singer hooked a big time fan up when she surprised him and his family members up with a sweet, VIP trip to the Big Apple to see her.Jacob Star, his sister and mother were all gifted a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Tay after she saw Jacob's parody video on Tumblr. In it, the 15-year-old lip syncs to all of her 1989 songs, and is even equipped with that crazy, red smeared lipstick from "Blank Space," too. She fell in love, and told him she has to be BFFs with him ASAP.
"Jacob I am not joking about this. We need to be best friends because I need this kind of excellence in my life. Gonna track you down when we come to Canada. So obsessed with you," Taylor responded to his post. She couldn't wait that long because on December 1 he got a phone call from her.
She gave Thomas some options for an in-person meet-up, including the December 12 Jingle Ball show in New York City. "She flew us out to New York and gave us a really awesome driver from the airport to the hotel," he told TheStar.com. "We were living like her, it was insane."
What's even more cool and insane? She totally hooked him up with mozzarella sticks. Seriously, as soon as they got to their swanky hotel room, that's what was waiting there for them.
Thomas previously posted about them on Tumblr because his mom is a health food nut, meaning he usually can't get his hands on the cheesy goodness. She apparently took notice. Can she be any more perfect?
The fan got to meet her at her show that night. "The first thing she said to me was, 'Jacob!' and I was like: she knows my name!" he recalled. They talked about the show, those mozzarella sticks, and Thomas's first experience at Dunkin' Donuts.
"She's so sweet," he gushed. "Everyone says that she's so sweet when you meet her, but it's so true. She's the nicest person ever."
