As is the case for so many people today, Louisa Manning was bullied when she was in middle school. During that time, when we can all pretty much agree that none of us are at our most self-assured, Louisa was body-shamed, called "hairy" and "manbeast" by a group of her classmates.Louisa obviously made it through that tough time, but not unscathed. For years, she suffered from a lack of confidence and disordered eating.
Louisa is now in college and as you can see in the above photo, she's beautiful. When one of her former bullies saw what she looks like today, he actually had the nerve to ask her out on a date.
"I was pretty pissed off he asked me out, to be honest," she told BuzzFeed. "It really made me angry that now I'm attractive, he instantly wants to jump into bed with me."
Surprisingly, she still accepted the invite, but there were strings attached - big ones. Louisa arrived at the restaurant early and gave the waitress this throwback photo, along with this awesome note:
Wha bam!!The good news is that former bully has since changed his ways and instead of continuing his previous history of being a total jerk, he actually sent her this awesome message on Facebook:
"Hey... For what it's worth, I was actually here to meet up looking for a chance to meet up looking to make friends, not because you are very good looking. I guess I had it coming though, and certainly don't blame you for standing me up.
I can't change who I was 8 years ago, and I won't insult your intelligence by pretending that it didn't happen, but I hope you believe me when I say I'm a completely different person now. I can only apologise and wish you the very best. I guess I won't hear from you again but I mean it when I say that I hope you have every success you deserve."
As Louisa pointed out, it would have been cooler if the apology would have happened BEFORE the dinner invite and the note and the whole thing, but even though it was LONG overdue, she still says it's "amazing" that she got it.
