Nick Cannon is finally opening up about his separation from Mariah Carey (for real this time).
After the America's Got Talent host slammed a report that he confirmed divorce rumors back in September, Nick opened up about his split with the superstar singer on Good Morning America Monday.
"You and I were just talking, Mariah and you are separated, Christmas is about family first and foremost," GMA host Lara Spencer said to him.
"Always...always focus on family," Nick replied. "We'll forever be family. At the same time, we're there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they're loved and can have an amazing holiday."

Nick was on hand to promote his new animated Christmas book Roc and Roe's 12 Days of Christmas, which tells a story about his and Mariah's 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe and their experiences during the holidays.
In spite of their separation, Nick said he and Mariah are committed to making sure their family spends the holidays as they always have before, adding, "It's always a house full of people and pets and dogs. Christmas Eve we like to have sleigh rides and reindeer...it's a lot of fun. So when you read the book, everything seems over the top, but it really happens."
Back in September, The Insider With Yahoo reported that Nick told them, "There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months."

Days later, he denied on Twitter that those words ever came out of his mouth, tweeting, "I love @MariahCarey and that will never change. So to see false reports in the media stating otherwise is absurd. While I would like to remain silent I can no longer allow this to happen."
Meanwhile, Mariah never responded to the news of their split then...and still hasn't now.
