In Mariah Carey's defense, every day won't be an amazing singing day.

The singer did make headlines though, when this video of her isolated vocals from her Christmas performance popped up, showing her not at her best and not hitting the high notes we've come to love in her rendition of "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Mariah sang the popular holiday song during the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in New York City in front of a live audience Wednesday night, and her less-than-stellar singing wasn't the only thing that got people talking.

According to TMZ, Mariah was originally supposed to perform the song Tuesday night, but she reportedly kept the audience waiting for three hours before NBC made the decision to cancel the performance. It was later rescheduled for Wednesday.

82nd Annual Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting CeremonyThe superstar songstress reportedly stalled the production for hours Tuesday because she didn't want to perform in the rain, E! Online reported. "She was concerned about it affecting her voice," a source told the site. "The buzz on set was that Mariah eventually showed up in her car, but refused to get out of the car because of the weather."

Mariah didn't comment on the criticism about her voice, but she did apologize to the fans that waited on her in the bad weather Tuesday night.
