We all know waiting in line to see Santa at the mall sucks. For kids, it's totally worth it, though because letters (especially to the North Pole) can get lost in the mail, so being able to actually TELL Santa what you want is a big, HUGE deal. When 7-year-old Abcde Santos was waiting in line to meet Santa at a Southern California mall, she had her list all ready to go. She also had a special surprise for him. "She was so eager to ask santa what HE wanted for Christmas so she could make it for him," her mom wrote on Facebook.
Unfortunately, the young autistic girl never got to ask him anything as she was turned away because of her 5-year-old Pit Bull service dog. The family even offered to take the dog outside so Abcde could have her time with Santa, but he wouldn't budge.
The good news is that the mall took swift action when they heard about the incident and not only fired the scrooge Santa, they have offered the girl a private visit with the new Santa. "We look forward to welcoming back the Santos family and Pup-Cake for a special Santa experience," they wrote on their Facebook page.
Huge props to the mall for making it right and we hope Abcde AND her pup have their best Christmas ever!
