There is a reason that Thanksgiving is one of the worst times of year to travel - because pretty much everyone is traveling somewhere to spend the holiday with their family.Fortunately for Kanye West, he didn't get caught up in any of that Thanksgiving travel chaos because he didn't attend the family festivities. Surprisingly, the jet-set rapper chose not to travel home for turkey day and instead, spent the holiday in Paris.
It would have been totally understandable if his wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North were there, but they were in California with the rest of the Kardashian crew. "Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful to have spent the day with my whole family over at Khloes house today! Khloe cooked so much yummy food!" Kim tweeted on Thursday night.
That's kind of awkward, because how do you have your "whole family" when your numero uno (aka your husband) is on the other side of the world?!
As for why Kanye spent the holiday in Paris, we have no idea. According to Page Six, he had Thanksgiving dinner with two friends at Ralph Lauren's restaurant.
The Kardashians are together all the time (which includes plenty of family dinners) and Kanye does spend his fair share of time with them, so maybe he just thought this wasn't a huge priority. He didn't have a concert scheduled, but he could have been working on a record or some other business dealing?
