Following the debut of her new album, Leighton Meester is giving fans another taste of her musical prowess.
The former Gossip Girl star teamed up again with talented singer Dana Williams to sing a cover of Chris Bell's 1978 "You & Your Sister." In the video, Leighton and Dana both strum guitars as they sing softly in a recording studio, with their voices intertwining harmoniously. The duo previously collaborated on a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" earlier this year.
Before releasing her debut album, Heartstrings, Leighton previously signed a recording contract with Universal Republic Records, working on pop tracks with Robin Thicke, Lil' Wayne, and more back in 2008, according to Elle.
"That music is fun for certain times," Leighton told Elle, "but it didn't feel right to me." Now, the 28-year-old actress says her album "feels so personal and so real for me," adding that the folk album "really represents me. It's sensitive, it's sort of guarded but also open and vulnerable and triumphant."
