Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Wedding Update: How Liam Proposed

Miley was happy to share the story of how Liam proposed to her, chatting with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show about the romantic moment.

Liam proposed on May 31 at their home, with a 3.4-carot diamond ring. Not too shabby, Liam!

The proposal came after she sang Lilac Wine at one of her Backyard Sessions (you can peep the video of that here).

Turns out Liam loves the song and got wrapped up in the moment, as Miley explained, "About 20 minutes after that song --that's one of Liam's favorite songs--he asked me to marry him. I had no idea! He was sitting there and I'm like, 'He's looking at me funny!' And then I knew."
