Yikes! Let this serve as a warning to all of us who are considering using an online dating site.

We all saw Farrah Abraham's mom and dad separate during Farrah's time on Teen Mom and when Farrah's mom tried to dive back into the dating pool, she received a very unfortunate surprise.

Debra says that she found it hard to date after getting divorced, especially due to her desire to be discreet. So, she did what a lot of people do, she went on a dating site.

"But you never know who you are actually talking to when you are on a dating site," she tells The Ashley's Reality Roundup. "You never know where they're at in the world when you're talking to them."

Sadly, the person she was talking to was catfishing her and she alleges that he managed to scam her out of $250,000 in the process. Apparently, she thought she'd be going into business with her "boyfriend" and it was all a scam, which she details in her new book entitled Vapor.

"This book is about me going on the dating site, and eventually finding what I thought was a business opportunity but turned out to be a scam," she told the site.

Man, talk about adding insult to injury. And Farrah's mom is a smart businesswoman who has her MBA.

Hopefully the book can serve as a cautionary tale and prevent someone else from going through the same thing.

Vapor will be released in ebook format by Ellora's Cove (the same publisher Farrah works with) on November 21.
