Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed had an awesome date night this weekend.
The duo headed to the 3rd annual Unlikely Heroes Awards Dinner and Gala Saturday night in Los Angeles and not only supported a great cause, but also got to hang out with former President Bill Clinton.
"A night out with @iamnikkireed and this amazing guy, our Former President @BillClinton @ClintonFdn discussing the best, most efficient and collaborative way to make true positive change in our country and our world," the Vampire Diaries star captioned a selfie on Instagram of himself, Bill and Nikki. "Whatever side of an aisle you're on or group you work with or believe in-it's our responsibility to be good to one another, teach our young people and protect our environment through reverence, gratitude and compassion. This can be done!"
The event honored those who help child victims of sex slavery, which the Twilight star talked about in her own Instagram post about the night.
"My second year attending the @uheroes fundraiser, listening to haunting stories told by survivors of some of the most un-talked about forms of cruelty on this planet," Nikki captioned a shot of herself speaking at the event. "Erica Greve, you are everyone's hero. Your passion, your heart, your soul bleeds into every aspect of your life. When we first met three years ago, I said I would do any and everything you asked of me to help these girls find freedom and I intend on keeping that promise. This is not your work, this is your calling - helping to end the exploitation of innocent and vulnerable children; giving these girls a voice, a future. You are a gift. Everyone left tonight with a fire burning inside of them-ready to do their part. Thank you for being you, Erica. And thank you for including me.Although Nikki hasn't shared coupled up snaps of herself with Ian on Instagram, the actor hasn't been shy at all about showing his love for her, recently sharing a snap of the two of them cuddling their new cat, Sohalia.
