One Direction Guys Explain What It Takes to be a Directioner: Loyalty Tops List

The One Direction fandom is well aware of what it takes to be a loyal fan, but we love the 1D guys' take on what they think of their fans. In a recent interview, a few of the boys were asked their thoughts on Directioners and here's what they had to say.

The ladies of ITV's Loose Women were looking to find out how they could join the fandom and we think Niall Horan summed it up beautifully when he said: "It seems loyalty is a big thing, you have to be very loyal."

Zayn Malik seemed to think there's more to it, saying, "You've gotta be initiated by a Directioner," while Louis Tomlinson added, "Maybe there is a process that we don't even know about." No special initiation process required, guys. Just mad love for all things 1D.

And how about the most bizarre thing a fan has ever done? Remember the one who hid in a garbage can? Zayn said, "I still can't believe that somebody hid in a bin. She jumped out of the bin, we were stood there and then she launched at us." Louis asked, "Did she get a photo in the end?" and Zayn thought so, explaining, "I think she did yeah, because she was crying after."
