The "Piece of Me" show is doing so well, in fact, that BritBrit was able to get an even bigger piece of the pie, and went from earning $310,000 per performance to a whopping $475,000 including merchandising and other back-end stuff.
So, what's this we're hearing about dwindling ticket sales? According to a new report by RadarOnline, producers are "scrambling" to fill seats in the "half-empty" (we prefer to look at it as half-FULL, but whatever) theater after Britney said there was "no way in hell" that she would perform for a half-empty theater. She apparently feels that it throws the energy off and we totally understand why it would.
We did look at tickets for tomorrow night's performance and there are a bunch of empty seats. That being said, summer is over, so people aren't exactly flocking to the city for the epic pool parties and whatnot right now. And for what it's worth, we were just in Las Vegas at one of the city's most popular shows and we noticed a lot of empty seats there, too.
We have a feeling that as soon as summer rolls back around, Britney will be packing the place once again.
