They take baseball really seriously in San Francisco.
So seriously that several radio stations have banned Lorde's hit "Royals" from the airwaves until the World Series ends.
In case you don't follow sports, the San Francisco Giants are going up against the Kansas City Royals tomorrow for the first time. KFOG was the first to blacklist her hit, followed by 96.5 KOIT.
No offense, Lorde, but for the duration of the World Series, KFOG Radio will be a "Royals"-free zone. We're sure... http://t.co/7uvseCjb03

I hope Lorde understands - I mean, we're talking World Series-bound San Francisco Giants here! - Webster http://t.co/kddOQpNs6V

One Kansas City station, however, is hitting back by vowing to play "Royals" every hour on the hour during the World Series.Lorde says her hit was actually inspired by a vintage photo of Royals' player George Brett autographing baseballs, so we kind of get where the SF stations are coming from.
Do you think the ban is silly or neccessary?
