kid reaction to automatic sliding doors videoWith the stress of the holiday season building, here's the perfect reminder to savor some of life's simple moments.

Watch as this little boy discovers the magic and joy of automatic sliding doors opening and closing for the first time. Srsly, he can't even wrap his head around what's happening, but is so blissed out about the whole thing, you can't help but smile.

YouTube user Abraham Vargas explained in the video description: "Took our son to the grocery store and let him walk around for the first time, he was blown away by the automatic doors." Too. Cute.

This adorable moment really shows that it's important to slow down and take in some of life's everyday joys - like that inflatable dancing tube guy, who never fails to disappoint. That's some next-level magic.

Srsly, Get Off Your Phone While Driving

asian young woman texting...Ford Motor Company launched a campaign urging drivers to stop "liking" and driving. It's sad to say, but the "Don't Text and Drive" phrase is starting to lose its sparkle in getting people to stop texting and/or scrolling through their phones while driving. Yes, liking a photo on Instagram or Facebook or re-tweeting a tweet is also frowned upon when behind the wheel.

The new take on the (very) important notion of not using your cell phone while driving is making waves via social. Using the tagline, "Please don't like and drive," Ford's campaign leverages Instagram's "like" in the ad's visual on the social platform:

Go further responsibly. Please, don't like and drive.

The powerful capture of a person walking their dog in the middle of the street with the big "Insta-heart" over them shows a simple, moving visual of why it's so important to focus on the road and not Gigi's latest tweet about her relationship status. (Side note: can that person not walk their dog in the middle of the road? That's not even a crosswalk. But hey, that's why it's even more important to pay extra attention while driving.)

Check out some of the other posts by Ford on Instagram for the company's "Don't Like and Drive" campaign:

If you still think you can 100% pay attention to the road while looking at your phone (P.S., you can't), take advice from Demi Lovato in her #X Campaign with AT&T last year to promote safe driving by putting down your phone before you get behind the wheel. Take the pledge, girl! That Snap can wait.

Who Is the Mystery Guy in the Kardashian/Jenner Thanksgiving Photo?

The Kardashian/Jenner crew all got together for Thanksgiving dinner and shared this beautiful family photo taken in host Khloe Kardashian's backyard.

Caitlyn Jenner was there, Scott Disick was there, Tyga was there...the whole bunch! But in the pic, which Kylie Jenner captioned "thankful for my blended family," there was one person fans didn't recognize: the guy on the far left.

Finally, the "mystery guy" in the famous fam's photo has been identified! According to TMZ, his name is Sakiya Sandifer and he's so close with Kanye West (they grew up together in Chicago), he might as well be family. Sakiya is an entrepreneur and an author, who co-authored co-authored the 2009 book "Thank You and You're Welcome" along with 'Ye.

He was even in KimYe's wedding and played a big part, as he walked Kylie (who was a bridesmaid) down the aisle for the ceremony (photo here).

Apparently, it worked out on Thanksgiving that he was in town for business, so he got to celebrate the special day with his pal Yeezus and the rest of the famous fam.

Happy Thanksgiving, guys!

#GivingTuesday Will Reverse Karma for Overspending on Cyber Monday

girl working with a laptop in a ...We don't know about you, but we are suffering from a severe shopping hangover. Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, our credit cards are in need of a serious break right about now. Walk. Away. From. The. Sales.

Today is #GivingTuesday - just in time to distract us from all the deals. The 24-hour international campaign is dedicated to giving back to the community in the form of donations and volunteer work. The campaign was founded in 2012 by Henry Timms, the executive director of the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

Last year, #GivingTuesday raised approximately $45 million with 15,000 participating organizations, according to USA Today. This year 30,000 organizations across 68 countries are involved. That's a LOT of support.
GIPHYSince the event is largely held online, it's no surprise that social media, especially Twitter, has been a major driver in the event's success. Celebs are getting in on spreading the love, too:

"Twitter was the tool that connected the movement. As the initiative has rolled out, spreading the word through Twitter chats and memes like the #unselfie have been a huge part of #GivingTuesday's evolution and growth," Henry said to USA Today.

Those of us on a college budget can even get involved without spending a cent. Johnson & Johnson's Donate a Photo campaign will donate a dollar to the charity of your choice just by sharing a photo (you were probably gonna do that anyway, TBH). Choose the charity that you're passionate about, like Pro Mujer or Girl Up, and upload a photo to the app's gallery. If you share via social media, your followers will see the cause you supported and know that you're really a good person. You could help a low-income woman take control of her future, or give a girl in Guatemala school supplies.

Be sure to check in with your fave retailers and non-profits, many of them are supporting great causes today!

Woman Has Six Ribs Removed to Look Like Cartoon Character

woman six ribs removed plastic surgery disney characterTalk about extreme plastic surgery. This woman's goal to achieve the tiny waist of a cartoon character required a massive transformation - and the removal of six ribs.

This is unsettling because the human body isn't designed to have the proportions of cartoons. Still, Pixee Fox was determined to get the look, spending $120,000 on plastic surgery procedures.

She told Barcroft TV: "I've always been inspired by cartoons and Disney movies - all the curves and tiny waists." In order to look like characters like Jessica Rabbit and Tinkerbell, she's had a number of procedures: a nose job, brow lift, eyelid surgery, lip and cheek fillers, multiple breast surgeries, a butt lift, permanent makeup, and the removal of six ribs.

The rib removal was the most challenging because most plastic surgeons would not agree to the procedure.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Mani told People.com: "The procedure would not be done by most plastic surgeons, particularly in the United States where surgery on patients with Body Dysmorphic Disorder is discouraged."

Pixee hopes to break the world record for the smallest waist, which is currently 15 inches. She now has a 16-inch waist, but notes, "I think if I just get time to heal and work out and continue my lifestyle, I'm probably going to go down to 14 inches soon."

5 seconds of summer lost member james corden sketch videoThe hilarious James Corden strikes again! Watch as we find out that 5 Seconds Of Summer used to have a fifth member. Let's just say we're thankful they pared down to a four-piece because James was a total diva.

In this Late Late Show video, we learn that James was the lead singer of 5SOS - and his "drunk on power and alcohol" attitude rubbed everyone the wrong way.

In the 5 Seconds of Summer: The Early Years sketch, James explains, "I look at them as brothers. And they look at me the way Julia Roberts looks at Richard Gere in 'Pretty Woman' - 'You saved me.'"

As these things go, there's a meeting to discuss James' future with the band, as Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin are forced to kick him out of the group. As expected, he doesn't take it well.

#GlitterPits Are Now a Thing That's Trending on the 'Gram

Glitter seems to have made its way into a lot of unexpected places lately, from beards to roots, but the hottest new place to put glitter might be the weirdest. Say hello to #GlitterPits. Better get your booty to a Michael's.

Miley Cyrus made her pits a statement piece when she dyed them bright pink back in May, but #GlitterPits are bringing underarm beauty trends to a disco-fever pitch.

The goal of the fairydust pits is to destigmatize armpit hair and achieve "equality in the underarm regions," according to a caption by photographer Matthew Burditt, who posted a #GlitterPits pic about six months ago. And this isn't the first time women have dolled up their underarm hair in the name of feminism - remember when ladies started going rainbow over the summer? There's a whole movement to embrace what Mother Nature gave ya, and it's called - what else? - Free Your Pits.
Pics of #GlitterPits have been making the Instagram rounds for a while, but the recent popularity boom could be, as Cosmopolitan suggests, a holiday-ready reaction to dudes rocking the recent #GlitterBeards trend.

New Bae Alert? Selena Gomez Flirts With NHL Player on Social Media

Selena Gomez 2015 American Music Awards - ArrivalsSelena Gomez has a new boo? It could be true. Quit reading now, Justin Bieber.

Apparently, Sel Go has been social media flirting, you know, liking ish up on Instagram with NHL player Tom Wilson, who plays for the Washington Capitals. According to Page Six, they met through Julianne Hough, who is engaged to his teammate, Brooks Laich.

In typical Selena fashion, Tom is a hot-tie. Don't get too excited, though. Tom is reportedly dating a volleyball player named Taylor Pischke. We're guessing he's just new friends with the "Same Old Love" singer. Selena doesn't seem like the homewrecking type.
A professional athlete wouldn't be a bad gig for Sel, though. Her ex is the Biebs, so she needs something different this time around. Maybe she can ask the Kardashian girls for help in that department.

How Ryan Reynolds Has Kept His Daughter Out of the Spotlight

2015 Toronto International Film Festival - If you haven't noticed, it's nearly impossible to catch a glimpse of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' baby girl.

Aside from shots paparazzi snapped of little James on the beach with her mom in Australia recently, the tiny tot isn't rarely seen out with her parents...and there's a reason for that. When asked how they've keep their daughter away from the public eye, the Deadpool star told Sydney 10, "I think it's always a fine line."

"I think it's keeping a boundary that there's this world that is the job and the world that is the home," he continued. "I've never been the guy stumbling out of bars at three in the morning...at least that anyone is aware of. It's never been my thing. We don't live in L.A. We live on a farm in New York, and we don't lead a wild and crazy life. It's not that hard. It's not a big deal."
Back in September though, Ryan did admit they've had some struggles with keeping their daughter's privacy, even when it comes to trusting friends. The actor told GQ, ""A guy that I'd known for my whole life, one of my closest friends growing up, he had been shopping pictures of my baby around."

He added, "I kind of got in front of it, which is good. But it was a slightly dark period. A bad couple of weeks... It was like one of those devastating things to find out."

Blake and Ryan haven't shared any photos of James on social media, except those where you can't see her face (like Ryan's controversial baby carrier photo). So, that was a huge betrayal. Hopefully, the couple will continue to be able to keep their little girl's life relatively private until they're ready to share photos of her with the world.

Remember #AlexFromTarget? Of course you do.

Last November (can you believe this meme went viral over a year ago?), Twitter went insane over a hot kid who works at Target named Alex Lee, propelling him to a level of fame that earned him a verified Twitter account with more than 800,000 followers and a YouTube channel (now sadly forgotten - no videos have been created in six months).

As reported by Cosmopolitan, it seems like the world is ready for their next Target bae, because one cute AF Target employee started to rack up likes and retweets after Twitter user @LordWink posted this photo on Black Friday.Daaaaaaamn.

@LordWink nicknamed him Target Hendrix, because his blond-tipped dreads look a lot like the ones that rapper Future Hendrix rocks.

Target Hendrix has not gone as viral as #AlexFromTarget, but the original Tweet has been retweeted over 1,000 times. We like that Target Hendrix passed over the solid red polo in favor of a more festive plaid shirt. Yep, this guy is DEF destined for stardom. #RedShirtOnFleek

Srsly, This Jewelry Collection Was Inspired By Your Period

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetOur periods inspire a lot of things in us: rage, frustration, feminine pride and a propensity to cry over anything. But creativity? Nope, can't say it's done that.

The opposite is true for 22-year-old jewelry designer Lili Murphy-Johnson, who designed a collection of rings, necklaces, bracelets and jewel-embellished apparel "inspired by menstruation and the frustrating, leaking female body," according to her website. Lili considered feminine care items like pads and tampons, the annoying AF symptoms of PMS and, of course, blood when creating the often sparkly pieces.

"I hope that [this collection] can give space for conversation about menstruation, and that it can be a way to enjoy wearing period stains," Lili told Refinery29. This New Hair Coloring Technique Is Actually an Artistic Masterpiece

$

The partyIf you're still getting your hair colored with your basic dye and foil strips, girl it is so time to update. From your classic balayage to the more recent fluid hair painting trend, it seems like more and more dye styles are cropping up for an entirely new and epic effect. And now we have one more to add to the list and it looks like something straight off of a canvas.

It's called hand-pressed coloring and we totes believe this would have been Picasso's coloring method if he was a hairstylist. Yeah, it's that cool.

Quite literally dreamed up back in September by Redken colorist Chiali Marvici, the technique is similar to both screen printing and painting a work of art.

As for her inspiration, Chiala told Cosmo, "I have a painting in my apartment that a friend did for me a while ago that has a lot of colors on it, and I fell asleep one night and dreamt of all these layers living together on a surface. When I woke up, I thought about how beautiful that would be on the hair and how I would translate that vision onto the hair."

#Styleinspo at it's finest, ladies. When Chiala finally figured out how to transform her friend's painting into hair coloring patterns, it was nowhere short of a masterpiece. In order to transfer the color onto hair, Chiala says you have to first paint different patterns like circles, diagonal lines and swirls with hair coloring onto a 6-inch wide sheet of hard plexiglass. All of these shapes can be varying in color based on what the client wants.

Once your plexiglass painting is finished, Chiala takes the hair and lays it flat on the plexiglass, pressing a 6-inch long putty knife along the strands so the color saturates both the top and underside of the hair. And when she's done running the putty knife through your hair, all of the shapes blend together to form a blanket of color.

And it looks incredible.

Chiala then slides the plexiglass slab out from under your hair, repaints the pattern and does it again until your whole head is covered in color. Letting the color set takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes, making the waiting time for you significantly less than getting foils or balayage because hand-pressed coloring doesn't take any post-application blending.

Right now, this technique isn't as widespread as we'd like but Chiala says she will soon be traveling around the country to teach more colorists how to do hand-pressed painting themselves. But until then, we'll have fun drawing our stylists some blueprints for the color combos we'd like in our hair. Galaxy ombre, here we come!

Zendaya Explains Why She Won't Have a 'Miley Cyrus Moment'

zendaya talks disney channel miley cyrus
Is there anyone more real than Zendaya? From slamming a magazine for Photoshopping a pic of her, to handling haters, to shutting down Giuliana Rancic over that rude comment about her hair at the Oscars, Z slays every time.

In the new issue of Complex magazine, Zendaya talks about her Disney Channel roots and the importance of being a "real model" versus a "role model."

You know that whole thing where Disney Channel stars grow up in front of our eyes and then eventually have to break away from their Disney persona to show they're not a kid anymore?

Don't expect a huge dramatic move from Z, who is so about keeping it real, she doesn't anticipate she'll have to follow that path to break out as a young woman.

What you see is what you get, so to speak.

When asked about her fellow Disney alum, like Miley Cyrus, Zendaya told Complex: "I think again it's that real model, role model thing. A lot of them were forced into being role models and they had to pretend to be something that they didn't feel matched up with who they were. And that's because they started really, really young. So you've got to realize when you're really young you don't know who you are yet. And as soon as you figure it out, you've already been forced to become something that you didn't really know you signed up for."

She added, "So it's like, I get it. There's a lot of pressure, so I completely understand. Everyone has their different ways of learning and growing and finding out who they are, and you can't fault people for that. Again, I think with all the prior Disney stars, at least you can say they are themselves now."

Zendaya doesn't anticipate having a "Miley moment," explaining, "That's why I said, in order to avoid those problems just be yourself from the beginning and be honest with the world, because that's the only thing you can do. There will be no surprises."

Love her.

In a recent sit down with Gwen from Premios Telehit, they were each asked what their ideal holiday gift would be. When they listed off some boring basics, Niall Horan explained that while touring, "you always run out of clean underwear and socks."

Harry Styles took it one boring step further, saying he'd like "a nice pair of slippers."

Liam Payne decided to jazz up his answer a bit, saying, "I'm just going to go out there and say a boat...everyone else is saying bloody slippers!"

While Liam might be a bit disappointed he doesn't get his pricey present, Louis tried to meet him half way, offering up socks with boats on them.

Kim Kardashian's Son Is No Longer Breech Following Hospital Procedure to Turn Him

Good news for Kim Kardashian! The 35-year-old revealed last week that her son was breech and that she might have to have an emergency C-section. "He is in the wrong position for childbirth," she told E! News. "His head is still up and it's supposed to be down. He was supposed to turn by 32 weeks so now I will have to get a C-section."

Despite all of the things she had tried, he still wasn't turning, but Kim was holding out hope that he would - and he did! Following a painful hospital procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version), Kim's son is now pointed in the direction of his possible namesake - South!

"This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position," she explained in a new post on her website. "There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop-in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place."

Fortunately, it didn't and they didn't need to do that - so baby West is now just chillin' in the perfect position until he's ready to make his appearance.

Khloe Kardashian was having a tough time with the fact that she couldn't visit Lamar Odom in the hospital due to her struggle with a staph infection. Fortunately, she got a positive update about her health right before Thanksgiving and she was allowed to be around people again (it's highly contagious and she had been isolating herself) AND she was able to go see Lamar again.

The reality star hosted the family dinner at her house for the second year in a row and she pulled out all the stops.

When the family party was over, though, Khloe packed up a Thanksgiving dinner and brought it to Lamar so he could have a Thanksgiving celebration, too.

"She was like, 'Okay, I've got to take Lamar's food to the hospital!' So she packed up this entire meal for him and off she went," Kris Jenner revealed in an interview on Maria Menounos' Sirius XM Radio show.

She continued, "We had made these plans where we were going to have game night afterwards and do a whole thing, but she really just wanted to get out of there and go see and make sure he was okay for Thanksgiving. I thought, 'Wow, that's an amazing human.' That really made my whole day."

Khloe has been by Lamar's side since he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on October 13. Given that the two are still legally married, Khloe was in charge of making some tough medical decisions while he was in a coma. She has vowed to continue supporting him as he embarks on what will likely be a long and difficult recovery process.

Drake, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards - ShowWant Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez to get back together? You aren't the only one!

We personally think Justin and Selena should move on and not take any steps backwards, but that's not what everyone else seems to want. JB posted a throwback picture of his ex-bae on Instagram Tuesday night, and fans went nuts with speculation that they're dating again.

Justin posted a shot of him and his ex on an ATV. That photo was taken way back in 2014, so why is he putting it on social media now? Was he just missing her? Wanting her back? Who knows.

We weren't the only ones who freaked the eff out, though. Even Bieber's pal drizzy Drake chimed in on the Jelena throwback.Yep, even he was hoping the picture was a new one, too.

There's been speculation that JB and Sel are thinking about taking another shot at things. Justin recently revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that he thinks they have a chance to reconcile. They were also spotted hanging out together a few weeks ago in Beverly Hills.

Justin didn't add a caption to the picture of him and Selena at first. After people started freaking he did, though. "Just a throwback calm down," he wrote.

Uh, apparently he doesn't know us too well. What do you think all this Jelena throwback stuff means?

Why Are People Freaking Out About the iPhone 7?

$

girl wearing headphonesIf you're the type of girl who's always bumping her jams, you're going to want to hear about this.

People are already making guesses about what the next iPhone is going to be like, and the latest rumor is killing a lot of vibes, including ours. According to Japanese tech blog Macotakara, Apple may remove the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack in the next iPhone model, predictably the iPhone 7, according to a "reliable source." Instead, Apple will manufacture a set of EarPods that plug into the Lightning port (a k a the jack where you charge your phone). Try. To. Remain. Calm.
12OZPROPHET.COM / GIPHYThis could mean a couple things: 1. If you've invested in some top-quality headphones, you're going to need an adaptor to make them work with the new phone. 2. You will need to buy a new pair of headphones with the Lightning port jack. 3. You will need to buy Bluetooth earbuds or headphones. Or 4., ditch your iPhone and get an Android phone. Of course, you can always use Apple's provided EarPods but honestly, does anyone actually use those?

Macotakara speculates that the reason would be to make the new iPhone even thinner than it is now.

The Verge points out that this would mean you can't charge your phone and listen to music at the same time - just think of all the times you charge and stream music at the same time in your car. Your new headphones also wouldn't work with your desktop computer or laptop, so you would have to carry around an extra pair of headphones. Who wants that?

The Verge also makes the point that Apple switched its 30-pin connector (the original cord that was used to charge your old iPhones and iPods) after selling a billion of them without batting an eye, so this massive shift wouldn't exactly be out of character for the company.

Eek...maybe hold on buying those fierce Frends headphones you've had your eye on?
