Science Proves These 5 Things Are Confidence and Dating Game-changers

Paris, young couple visiting MontmartreWe've always said that makeup is our secret weapon. Taking the time to put on your favorite mascara and wing your eyeliner just right gets you ready to take on the day, because you look amazing, and the world can't help but notice. But now, Revlon has partnered with researchers at Fordham University to prove that the power of makeup, along with a simple, daily ritual can get you feeling like your best self and even ready you for romance. You've probably already heard of the Love Test and have seen the awe-inspiring video on YouTube that's already gotten millions of views, but we just had to learn how we can do this for ourselves.

For their study, Revlon and Fordham recruited over 700 women between the ages of 18 to 49 from across the country and asked them to switch up their morning routines just slightly. Dr. Timothy Malefyt, Fordham's clinical associate professor of marketing, told Cambio that this ritual involves every one of our senses, to keep us grounded in a moment when we are feeling the best about ourselves.

"This was all about the women themselves," he said. "It started with [putting on] a fragrance, then applying some eyeliner. And then, it's about picking a sweet, a mint or a chocolate. Finally, she puts on mascara, takes a deep breath, looks at herself in the mirror and smiles. It's about anchoring yourself in the here and now, not for someone else, but for yourself."

By including your favorite perfume and a nice little bite of chocolate, along with a smile in the mirror, you've pleased just about every one of your senses, picking you up in a way Dr. Tim says is like drinking your morning coffee.
Jersey City, Woman applying lipglossWomen who participated in the study reported feeling better about themselves, their appearance and their capabilities. What's more, women who started doing the ritual regularly became more ready and open to love. And this all happened in four days.

The results truly speak for themselves. Out of all the women who did the ritual regularly, an outstanding 97 percent said they felt a positive change in themselves, with 77 percent reporting feeling more outgoing. The best part, though, was that most women saw improvements in the romance department. A total of 71 percent said they wanted romance after their routines, 69 percent said they were ready for love, and 74 percent were more likely to flirt.

The routine was even able to change the way their partners or potential baes saw them.

"What was interesting, too, was that it had cascading effects," Tim said. "For the boyfriends and the husbands, they noticed that [these women] were looking better and feeling better about themselves. It's a synergistic effect that starts off with the women and leads on to another."

The results for this didn't lie either. An unbelievable 85 percent of women said they noticed a positive change in how others responded to them, with 65 percent saying they got more compliments from their SOs, and 56 percent saying more people were flirting with them. Yes, please.
A couple laughing together with friends at night.Tim said the key is to focus on being completely present during the time you're spending with yourself, so that you can consciously appreciate who you are and the steps you're taking to make yourself happy: "How much in our world are we doing for other people? This is a reflective moment where you take a deep breath and look at yourself and smile. That's the [sensory experience] getting you in the moment. And rituals are rich in sensory experiences to anchor you and bring you into that time and place."

We are sold. Any routine where we get to eat chocolate and feel confident enough to flirt a little more is one we can get behind.

If you try this out for yourself, let us know how it made you feel! Sound off in the comments below.

Watch Mini-Me Verne Troyer Crush Drake's 'Hotling Bling' Dance

Mini Drake?

Not long after Drake inspired a thousand memes with his "Hotline Bling" video, Verne Troyer a.k.a. Mini Me decided to put his own spin on it, posting an epic video on his Facebook page of himself dancing to the song.

Clad in all-black and a baseball cap, the Austin Powers star kicks up his legs, shows off his moves and does his best to top some of Drake's dance moves from the video. In a nutshell, the entire 47-second clip is gold. "Your move Drake #HotLineBling," Verne captioned the clip.

Verne is just the latest star to put up a "Hotline Bling" parody. 74-year-old Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders also gave his own take on it earlier this week on The Ellen DeGeneres show and cracked us up.

So far, Drake hasn't commented on Verne's video on social media just yet, but we're crossing our fingers that it's coming. A dance off between those two would be everything (we'll also take a dance-off between Verne and Bernie).

2015 National Arts AwardsYassss Lady Gaga!

As she continues to slay her role as The Countess on American Horror Story, Lady Gaga has proven that she's not only a music star, but an amazing actress as well. Not surprisingly, the industry has taken notice and given her her first-ever acting nomination.

Mother Monster was nominated for a People's Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress for her role on the FX show, and we have a feeling that is just the beginning for the awards that will role in as awards season approaches next year.

Gaga recently gushed about working on the show, telling E! News, "I'm happier than I've ever been now, because the people that I work with really, really care that my life is different and really, really work to make sure that I feel as normal as possible-so that I can have a great time and just be a normal girl, and just be a woman for Ryan on film, or you know... [laughs] a hemophiliac." The hemophiliac she's referring to is her 100-year-old, blood-sucking character on the show.

When the 2016 People's Choice Awards airs Jan. 6, 2016, Gaga will face off against Outlander's Caitriona Balfe, Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, Once Upon a Time's Ginnifer Goodwin and Once Upon a Time's Jennifer Morrison to take home the prize.

We'll definitely be tuning in.

It's Official: Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Dating

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - Season 1It looks like the rumors are true.

Just a day after photos surfaced of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton packing on the PDA at a party, her rep confirmed to Us Weekly that they are indeed dating. "Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating," her spokesperson told the mag. She wouldn't comment on their relationship more than that, but that certainly said it all.

The confirmation of their new romance comes shortly after they spent time together during Halloween weekend in Los Angeles. According to E! Online, Blake could be seen holding Gwen close and putting "one hand on her backside" in photos from Adam Levine and Maroon 5's Halloween party. Before that, they reportedly held hands at Jared Leto's party Friday night.

As for what Blake's ex-wife Miranda Lambert thinks about all of this (they just announced their divorce in July), it looks like she saw it coming. In fact, according to E! News, she isn't fazed one bit.

"Miranda is at a point in her life where she is really focusing on herself and her music. This is a new chapter for her to create new relationships and really move on," an insider told the network. "She was not surprised to hear of the romance between Blake and Gwen. They were always pretty flirty...Miranda and Blake were on the rocks on and off and knew that this could always be a possibility."
57th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals"Blake is just a flirty kind of charmer," the source continued. "She has nothing against Gwen and thinks she is a very talented artist. Whomever Blake is with she wishes them the best."

We seriously love Miranda's attitude. Girl is moving on with her life.

Did Lamar Odom Kick Khloe Kardashian Out of His Hospital Room?

0
0
Khloe Kardashian has been by Lamar Odom's side since he was hospitalized on October 13 after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel. First, she flew to Las Vegas to be with him while he was there and then she accompanied him on a helicopter ride to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, where he remains.

There have been a few times that Khloe has left the hospital, like to attend Kim Kardashian's baby shower, James Harden's basketball game and Kendall Jenner's birthday party, but aside from that, her public appearances had been almost non-existent in the last three weeks.

It seems that Khloe is slowly trying to get back to normal life, but that might not have been by her own choosing. "Lamar said he needed space and wanted to be alone," a source told Us Weekly. "He told her to get out." Another source, however, told them that he never told her to get out, so who knows...

via GIPHY

Regardless, Khloe is gradually going back to business and has resumed posting on social media and publishing on her website/app. Just this morning, she surprised fans with an announcement that she would be doing a singing in Los Angeles on November 9 for her new book Strong Looks Better Naked. She was originally supposed to go on a book tour to coincide with the release, which she promptly canceled when Lamar was hospitalized.

In a message to fans this morning, Khloe promised that she would reschedule once she felt more comfortable leaving Los Angeles for a few days: She is also still moving forward with her upcoming talkshow, Kocktails With Khloe, the premiere date has just been pushed back from its scheduled debut in "late 2015" until January 20, 2016.

The 11 Emotional Stages of Shopping for the Perfect Pair of Jeans

0

young woman lying on the floor and trying to close her blue jeansShopping for jeans: Three words that seem so simple but inspire so much fear and frustration, it's a wonder this piece of clothing is known as a basic essential. With all the different washes, cuts, styles and the fact that some are named after people, looking for your go-to pair becomes an all-out quest, riddled with confusion and anguish. A day of jeans shopping is enough to make any girl swear off pants for good and replace her wardrobe with your standard black leggings (because, let's be honest, they're so much easier).

But if you pushed through the pain long enough to find a decent pair of jeans, chances are you've went through these 11 emotional stages every lady has experienced when discovering new denim.

1. Blocking Out Past Memories and Starting Over
KermitYes, my last jean-shopping trip was a rough one. Throwing a pair at the mannequin that looked way too good in them probably didn't help either. But I'm putting all of that behind me and starting fresh. It's a whole new season, which means new jeans! I'm bound to find a pair that actually fits, right? Right?!

2. Feeling Enthralled but Somewhat Intimidated by Wall-to-wall Jeans
stephen colbertOkay, so there is quite an extensive collection here. Maybe a little too much... Where do I start? What's the difference between skinny jeans and jeggings? Don't both suffocate your legs equally? What the heck is a midi? Can jeans actually be low-high rise? What is life right now?!

3. Grabbing Every Style, Cut and Wash You Can Find
confusedJust grab them all. Take all the ones in your size and put them in your little bag. Don't let them see the fear in your eyes.

4. Facing the Dreaded Dressing Room
selena gomezWe can do this. Alright dressing room, you and your lying mirror won't bring me down today. I am on a mission, and it will be a success. It's just a room, right? We got this.

5. Taking a Deep Breath and Trying Them All on
kerry washingtonOkay, so I took 15 pairs of jeans. But no matter, no one is waiting for this dressing room, so I'll just try them all on. Even if this takes me a year, I'm leaving here with a pair of jeans.

6. Ignoring the Fact That One Inevitably Won't Button
smhI don't get it; they're all the same size? Is this particular pair lying to me, because it's apparently my size, yet both legs are the width of my thigh. I can't even get it past my calves. Have my calves really gotten that much bigger from that one time my friend forced me to go hiking last month?

7. Butt Looks Great, but Muffin Top for Days
ryan reynoldsMy butt totally rivals JLO's in these pants, but my stomach is bubbling over like a science experiment gone wrong. Why pants?! Why can't you just fit the whole person, instead of being so a**-centric?

8. Fits Around the Waist, but Your Thighs Are About to Explode
kim kardashianAre you kidding me? It finally fits around my waist, but my camel toe can be spotted from a block away. I swear, denim is the devil's material of choice.

9. Fits Every Part of You but Doesn't Hug You Enough
BeyonceThey're good, but something isn't right. They look like they're sagging...or that they will sag eventually. Am I just sagging? Am I just losing oxygen to the brain because of the tight confines of this tiny dressing room? Is this real life?

10. Finally, After Sifting Through the World's Supply of Jeans and Fighting Back the Bitter Sting of Tears, You've Found the Holy Grail Pair
yasHERE IT IS! MY GOODNESS, IT EXISTS! If Grecian goddesses wore jeans, just call me the boot cut Aphrodite!

Still Think the iPhone 6 and 6S Are Too Big? There May Be a Smaller Phone Soon

0

chiang mai thailand january...Are you ever scrolling on your iPhone 6 or 6S, only to feel infinite sadness when your thumb doesn't reach all the way to the top?

Turns out, you're not alone. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently released a research report predicting Apple's 2016 phone launch, as reported by MacRumors. There is of course, the iPhone 7 - but he also predicts that an all-metal 4-inch phone, similar to the iPhone 5S, will drop. It will include the A9 processor (that's what's in the iPhone 6S) but no 3D Touch, according to Business Insider.

"As there is still demand for a 4-inch iPhone, we believe Apple will upgrade this product line," Ming-Chi states in the report.

To refresh your memory, the iPhone 6 and 6S have a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 6 and 6S Plus have a 5-inch screen.

And if you're wondering, should we believe this guy? Well, Ming-Chi successfully predicted the launch of the 4.7- and 5.5-inch iPhones, so his track record is on point.

Serena Williams Just Became an Action Movie Hero IRL

KIA STYLE360 Hosts Serena Williams Signature Collection By HSNWhen and if a Serena Williams biopic comes to the big screen (because that totes need to happen), this next story would fit right in because it seriously sounds like a scene out of an action movie.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old tennis phenom took to Facebook to recount how she sprang into action after a man tried to steal her phone while she was having dinner at a restaurant.

When she saw a suspicious patron snatch her phone from a chair and leave the premises, Serena did what any self-assured, bada** chick would do - she chased him down and showed him who's boss. "Not thinking I reacted (hence the superwoman photo) I jumped up, weaved my way in and out of the cozy restaurant (leaping over a chair or two) and chased him down," she wrote. "He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash!"

Soooooo yesterday at dinner the CRAZIEST THING happened to me. I was sitting enjoying some Chinese food (delicious may I...

Posted by Serena Williams on Wednesday, November 4, 2015

"Just because you are a lady don't be afraid to step up to any challenge and not be a victim but a hero!" she wrote.

While this failed attempt at thievery is certainly no laughing matter, we can't help but LOL at Serena's vivid storytelling imagery. Add her latest feat to all of her other exceptional triumphs like becoming the first black female to land a solo Vogue cover and winning her sixth Wimbledon trophy, and the script about Serena's amazing life story practically writes itself.

Miranda Lambert Rocks Pink Hair at the CMAs...Copying Gwen Stefani?

0

Miranda Lambert and Gwen StefaniThe 2015 CMA Awards were off the chain last night, but the music wasn't what was buzzing. Right before the show, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani confirmed that they're dating all while his ex Miranda Lambert was riding solo hoping to win awards.

While all that was big news in itself, everyone started talking when Miranda showed up to the awards sporting pink hair. NBD, right? Other than the fact that it looked A LOT like Gwen's pink hair 'do back in the 90s, and we weren't the only ones to notice the similarity.

Fans jumped on Twitter to discuss their favorite country star's new, post-breakup look, several commentators noticed that it looked like Gwen's hair back in 1999.

"Is Miranda Lambert's pink hair an homage to Gwen's Tragic Kingdom?" one Twitter user wrote. Another posted, "I wonder if the pink color in Miranda Lambert's hair is a dig at Gwen Stefani?"

We couldn't help but wonder the same thing. But would Miranda REALLY do that? Why would she want more attention on the hurtful subject? We doubt the pink hair was on purpose. It was probably just a coincidence...

Miranda did have an awesome night, though...despite all that drama. She performed like a pro, and even took home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

No, This Is Not A Barbie - It's Even Better

0

trang 25 june 2014 rows of...Back up, Barbie, because there's a new action figure about to take over your aisle of pink. GoldieBlox, a toy company focused on producing female-focused and inspiring toys, has released a new action figure named "Ruby Rails." Yes, that's Ruby, as in a type of code.

What's so amazing about this action figure? Well, for one, it's a female-and it's an action figure. The promotion of Ruby Rails is equally as amazing, with her own movie trailer calling out that we need more female superheroes and leads in film and entertainment:

Check out those stats:

-Only 1% of popular films star women of color (The Representation Project)
-Only 12% of lead film characters are women. (Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film, SDSU)
-Men get twice as much screen time as women. (The New York Times)

Insane! We have Black Widow (still waiting for her solo movie), Supergirl (on TV, so it sort-of counts), and as TIME quotes, "the final Hunger Games movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and the new Star Wars film featuring a female protagonist played by Daisy Ridley will likely be among the holiday season's biggest blockbusters."

Before you go jumping for joy that women have finally broken the barrier in Hollywood, TIME also reports that, "Hollywood still has a long way to go when it comes to creating role models for young girls ... just six of the top 500 films of all time have starred a woman of color." GoldieBox aims to inspire young girls of all ethnicities - anyone can be a hero! Barbie even switched up their marketing this year with the same type of message.

This isn't GoldieBox's first big marketing project to promote #fiercefemale toys that encourage young girls to get involved and interested in STEM. In 2013, the company's "Princess Machine" ad went viral:

GoldieBox is hoping for the same success with the release of Ruby Rails, and we're sure they'll see it because a) females in film is a major hot topic right now, and b) this ad is hilarious and brilliant.

Tweet me your favorite Ruby Rails character from the ad @lizprugh! (Mine's Braveheart, obviously.)

You can purchase the doll on GoldieBox's website.

Instagram Star Sjana Earp Dismisses Trolls With Amazing Body Positive Message

For those who aren't already aware, Instagram darling Sjana Earp is an absolutely amazing source when it comes to satisfying all of your pubic hair grooming curiosity. But the Australian vlogger's expertise isn't limited to advising girls on how to maintain the hair down there - she also clearly knows a thing or two about putting trolls in their rightful places.

In response to haters who comment on her Instagram pics calling her "skinny" or "gross," Sjana's clapback game involves nothing more than some authentic self-acceptance as well as being swift with the delete button because she's not remotely interested in allowing the negativity to invade her platform.

"I am so much more than a body - I know that. I am not defined by numbers OR by other peoples opinions of me," she captioned an Instagram photo. "And the body I have, as imperfect or 'skinny' or 'gross' as people may think it is, is MY imperfect body. And i am happy with it despite their irrelevant opinions.. My imperfect body helps me to move, travel, explore, play, and even hug people.. To me, that makes it beautiful. My body is natural and unmanipulated - that to me means that nothing about it can be "wrong".. We don't look at a landscape and criticise the shape of a valley or the size of a mountain do we? So why are we so quick to judge other natural things like the human figure?"

Sjana has the most casual approach to discussing topics that are traditionally taboo (i.e. pubes), which is a clear sign that she has no trouble seeing the beauty in her uniqueness instead of falling into the trap of criticizing imperfections. That said, we're totally not surprised that those miserable body-shaming attempts only resulted in one huge fail.

6 Easy Steps to Getting Indestructible Curls That Last all Night

0
0
Woman with curled hair
This may seem crazy to our naturally curly haired sisters, but there are plenty of ladies out there frustrated with their straight, limp locks that simply cannot hold any bounce. When your hair is naturally straight, curling it for an event or simply to change up your style can be borderline torturous. You spend hours with a hot iron dangerously close to your head, only for it to fall flat an hour later. So how do you get your hair to curl, and better yet, stay, when you want to mix things up?

No matter what length, texture or thickness your hair is, there are few things to keep in mind if you're trying to achieve an effortless tousle.

1. Start With Second Day Hair

We can't stress this enough! If you cleaned your hair that day, chances are your hair is soft and weighed down by conditioner. When your hair hasn't been washed in a day, it's more filled with your natural oils, which makes it easier to mess with and ultimately hold a curl. Conditioned hair, on the other hand, creates a slippery surface that allows curls to fall out more quickly, so let your hair do its thing and resist the urge to wash.

2. All the Products

When you're not used to putting much product in your hair, it's tempting to go light with the spray when you're curling. Don't! If your hair already has a hard time with waves, then prepping with products is completely necessary. Start off by adding a generous amount of mousse to your hair, from root to tip. We're talking a glob, so that hair is evenly coated in product. Add some texturizing spray to each strand before you curl it also. This will help add even more grittiness that will hold curl even better. Finally, spray like you've never sprayed before. Don't be too afraid of hair getting crunchy; you'll shake your head later when you're done to loosen the look. But if you fail to use all the product you need, your hair will have absolutely no bend by the end of the night.

3. Make Sure Your Iron Is Hot Enough and You're Using the Right Iron

Working with a lukewarm iron won't get you much of anywhere. If you want to teach your hair that this is what it's meant to do at the moment, then you're going to need to expose it to heat. Apply a heat protector beforehand to make sure your hair is resistant to damage, but then be sure to heat your iron well. Take into consideration the thickness of your hair; if it's very thick, you're going to want your iron on the hotter side, while if it's thin, don't make it too hot or you'll risk burning your hair.

Also, take a second to think about what kind of curls you want to achieve. The tighter the curl, the longer it will last, and tighter curls usually require irons with thinner barrels (an inch or less). Even if you're going for a look that is a little more relaxed, still consider using an inch or inch and a half for your barrel because tighter curls will loosen as the night goes on.

4. Clip or Hold the Curl Before Setting It Loose

While curling each individual section, be sure to hold the curl in your hand and let it cool before you set it loose. Better yet, if you want indestructible curls, take the curl right after you release it from the iron, and pin it to your head with a bobby pin. By letting the curl cool before you set it loose, you have a better chance of it holding than if you release it from your iron while it's still hot.
Woman laying with curlers in hair

5. Over-Curl Your Hair

Like we said before, tighter curls have a better chance of holding throughout the night because they will inevitably loosen but still retain their shape. Because of this, make your curls slightly tighter than you want them to be. Before you know it, the curl will drop slightly, and you'll have your ideal look without the risk of it falling out completely.

6. More Product

So you thought you could put away that hairspray already? Nope! Once you're done curling your hair, shake out your locks while applying more hairspray. This will be the last seal you need to lock in the look. And if you really want to be sure, an extra bit of texturizing spray can't hurt.

22nd Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood AwardsDid Nina Dobrev make a major hair change?

The former Vampire Diaries star got everyone talking when she posted a shot of herself on Instagram rocking a short, red pixie hair cut with a shocked look on her face. Her long straight brunette locks were nowhere in sight.

A photo posted by Nina Dobrev (@ninadobrev) on

As it turns out though, Nina was just playing around with a wig on the set of her upcoming film Crash Pad. "Prettttty sure I look better in Domhnall Gleesons hair than he does. And I clearly have more down time on set than he does. #StuntWig #LateNightShooting #CrashPadMovie," she captioned the photo on Instagram.

Still, there were quite a few people who skipped over her caption, so Nina headed to Twitter to let fans know she was still a brunette. After Capital FM tweeted, "Woah... so @NinaDobrev's had a VERY drastic hairstyle change! EEEK!," Nina tweeted "Did you read my caption? Nope. I was bored on set, goofing around and trying on my costars STUNT WIG." She added, "My hair is still as long and brown as always...xo." While most fans breathed a sigh of relief, Nina proved she can rock just about any hairstyle and still slay. Harry Styles Confirms He Wears Women's Skinny Jeans

harry styles womens jeans bulletproof coffee dietThere's been speculation before that Harry Styles wears women's jeans, but now it's been confirmed. By Harry himself, no less.

Harry also revealed a little trick to staying slim, telling the Sunday Times Styles magazine (via Yahoo Celebrity UK): "Bullet coffee. It's black coffee with a spoonful of butter in it and a spoonful of coconut oil, all mixed up together. I've been on it for two days. You don't get hungry. I wear 26 inch waist women's jeans. Boom."

So not only is he passing on a little wisdom about this coffee concoction that's working for him, but he also dropped this truth nugget: he wears a 26 inch waist women's jeans.

We always knew he had a lean frame, but never guessed his waist was that tiny.

As for the drink, we've totally had bulletproof coffee and it's really satisfying and delicious, you wouldn't believe it. Just a tip though: make sure to use a blender rather than stir in the butter and oil so it's well incorporated and frothed up. Then sprinkle with cinnamon. Yummy!

A Century of Men's Beauty Trends Ends With the Man Bun

0
0
men's beauty trendsIt's about that time again when all the guys in our lives forsake their razors in favor of untidy, and sometimes, patchy facial hair. To honor all those aspiring hipsters who wear their beards long for this month, WatchCut Video released a 90-second clip of all male beauty trends from the past 100 years. Though Movember wasn't a thing until recently, you can see guys rocking fashionable facial hair since as early as the 1910s. We guess a bit of scruff was always in style.

While men's beauty trends have not evolved nearly as much as ours over the years, it's hard to say there haven't been some drastic changes. Take the turn of the century, for example. Those swirly, twirly mustaches we see our unconventional friends showing off nowadays first started in the 1910s, and were often partnered with hair parted to the side and drastically slicked down, usually with pomade. During the 1920s, and '30s, the somewhat greasy, slicked down look varied just a little bit, with mustaches becoming thinner and more precisely groomed.

It isn't until the 1940s that we saw men's hair start to get some volume, and it looked pretty damn good. Parted to the side, with locks tousled in the front, the '40s ushered in an era or fuller hair, that continued onto the '50s greaser look. It's a wonder men took the time to style their hair so much back then, but let's bring it back!

The '60s changed things completely, as rebellious teens who idolized the Beatles forgot the short haircuts of their fathers in favor of longer, mushroom cuts. Then '70s hair got even longer as the counterculture movement continued, only for it to all be cut off in the '80s and slicked back for that Yuppie appeal.

A decade later, grunge bands like Nirvana reigned supreme, and hair became longer in a style that looks very similar to the '70s. In the 2000s, a spiked up style came to the forefront. But it all ends with our most infamous hairstyle yet, the man bun, which is all-the-rage with the Lumbersexuals of our day.

Oh, how things have changed!

Lamar was in a coma for the first few days following his hospitalization and since waking up, he's regained function of all four organs that were failing and has been able to communicate. What's more, he's even started walking - with someone assisting him and a walker, which is a huge improvement from the last few weeks, when he remained bedridden.

He still obviously has a long way to go and nobody is sure yet whether or not he suffered brain damage and if he did, how much. Lamar still has months of physical therapy ahead of him, which he is able to receive in the hospital and will likely continue if and when he is transferred to a rehabilitation center.

Khloe Kardashian has remained by Lamar's side since he was admitted to the hospital and has vowed to stay with, and support him as he undergoes physical therapy, although that doesn't necessarily mean they're giving their marriage another shot.

"There is so much more medically and emotionally that we have to go through in order to even think about anything romantically," she told Yahoo! Style. "This is a very serious situation with a lot of layers. He has a long road ahead of him, and I will be there by his side. I will always love him unconditionally. That will never waver coming from me."

Justin Bieber Voices His Concern for Kylie Jenner in New Interview

Are you young and want to be a superstar? Justin Bieber thinks you should go a different route.

The pop star recently sat down with Billboard, and opened up about being famous at such a young age. He even voiced his concern for those growing up in the spotlight like his famous friend Kylie Jenner.

While talking to the mag to promote his new album Purpose, Justin said that being a child star is "the toughest thing in the world." He was only 12 years old when Scooter Braun discovered him on YouTube.

"I wouldn't suggest being a child star," he added bluntly. "I want people to be more kind to young celebrities. ... I hurt for some people."

He went on, "Like Kylie. Look at her world: She has been living on TV since she was a kid," he continues. "Every time she's looking around she sees a camera, and that's affecting how she's thinking and how she's perceiving people and why she has to do certain things ... Situations that happen taint your mind, especially in this industry. Especially for girls. Everything is so [based] on people's looks and stuff ... Look at the statistics on how many child stars have crumbled and turned out to be wack jobs. It's because -- it's f**ked, bro, this lifestyle."

Bieber acknowledges the "fake fantasy world" being a celebrity can sometimes create like creating an alter ego. "Like, oh, everything I say is funny. I must be the funniest dude ever," he says about the danger of yes-people constantly surrounding him. "Only to find out, man, my jokes suck."

We all know Bieber is still figuring this whole thing out, though. Just a few days ago, he stormed off stage in the middle of a concert in Norway, and later apologized to his fans on Instagram.

Gah! Girl Scouts Cookies Just Got More Expensive

atlanta march 9 2014 ...We've been drooling in anticipation since hearing about the three new Girl Scouts cookie flavors earlier this year, but it looks like some customers better get prepared to spend a few more coins to sample the tasty treats.

According to CBS News, the price of the popular cookies will increase in several states. In fact, Massachusetts, California and Hawaii have chapters which have already began charging $5 a box. As a result, their profits stand to increase from 62 to 90 cent per box.

SIGH. Et tu, Girl Scouts? First Netflix bumped up the prices on their monthly subscription and now our cookie addiction, er - cravings, just got more expensive. Unfortunately, the culprit is rising production costs, which forces us to stifle our cookie-induced rage.

We're not sure how, but we'll find a way to manage this culinary crisis. Apparently, we're not the only ones too peeved by the cookie cost increase, though. A poll conducted by CNBC found that 36 percent of respondents are unbothered by the price change and plan to continue to purchasing the cookies.

Ugh. The only positive side to this price hike is the potential to scale back on the number of boxes purchased, but TBH, that probz won't stop us from going HAM on those irresistible Thin Mints.
