Kendall Jenner is killing it in her modeling career and despite the fact that some people have tried to chalk her success up to nepotism, she's worked her butt off to get to where she is and she continues to prove that she deserves every single accolade that she's earned.While most of us just see her traveling all around the world to strut her stuff for the hottest designers, Kendall reveals that there is a LOT more that goes into it than just going to high-profile events and walking the catwalk - although that is part of it, obvs.
In a new blog post on her website, the 19-year-old opens up about what she's learned since she's been in the biz and admits that she herself didn't even realize all that went into being a model.
"I've learned that modeling isn't as easy as everyone thinks," she wrote. "There are a ton of early mornings and late nights-it's exhausting. And there's a lot of traveling. I have thought: 'What if it doesn't all work out, what else would I do?' I haven't figured it out just yet, but that's okay because I'm still young. Maybe I could be a hand model? Haha..."
And even though it's a ton of hard work, you won't catch Kenny complaining. "When I think about things, it's crazy that I'm getting to do something I love and have always wanted to do. Not everyone is allowed to live out their dream," she explained. "I'm proud that I did something with my life and didn't sit around and just contemplate it. There's nothing I would rather be doing right now."
We love that she's enjoying herself so much. Her passion for her work definitely shows and we love seeing her every time she pops up on a different designer's runway. Recently I've been reflecting on my current eating habits and have come to a realization...or 14. I discovered that I tend to justify my poor eating decisions, so that I do not feel as guilty about what I am eating. I then opened up this idea to my friends and hallmates to see if they maybe did the same thing. It turns out that they totally do! After a few hours of discussion, I took note of 14 things that we all told ourselves while eating things that we probably could live without. A few may even sound familiar to you. Here they are:
Cheat days only work if they are not abused. Usually if you give yourself a cheat day, you will likely eat poorly the following day. You may recall your eating habits from the day before and decide that you mine as well eat badly again since you are already on this downward slope. But remember, it is not too late! This brings me to the next point...
Making general statements sometimes is not always effective. Instead, setting a specific date and time makes working out a more concrete event, meaning you will be more likely to actually do it.
TOTALLY VALID. Eat whatever you want this week, especially the first day. This "event" is an automatic cheat day. When your pants are a crime scene, you deserve whatever your heart desires.
I get this; I really do. However, think about how much better you will feel after eating a healthy, nutritious and delicious meal. That is one less thing you would have to stress about!
This works. One of the reasons is because you are not falling asleep directly after you eat, which will allow your food to properly digest. Depending on what you have eaten, you may be hungry around dinner time. If this is the case, a small, low-carb meal for dinner would suffice. Works for me!
If this is true, keep it up for the rest of the day. Make sure your dinner is as delicious, nutritious and good for you as well. You can do it!
