This Surprise 'Voice' Engagement Will Give You All Types of Feels

When it comes to engagement surprises, this one might be one of the best we've seen this year.

When country duo Jubal Lee Young and Amanda Preslar hit the Voice stage Monday night, they sang "Seven Bridges Road," causing both Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams to turn their red chairs around.

"Are you guys a couple," Blake Shelton asked them after their performance. "Yes," Amanda responded with a southern drawl. "Are you married?," Blake asked. "Not yet...one day," she replied with a laugh.

"Alright," Jubal said, and pulled out an engagement ring and got down on one knee. "I love you. Will you marry me?," Jubal said, as the judges looked at them with shocked expressions. After she said yes, he put the ring on her finger...and we literally started tearing up.

"I've been waiting for this day for a long time!," Amanda said with a smile. "Oh my god. Is this really happening?!," Gwen replied with a smile. After the couple got their tear-jerking engagement out of the way, it was still time for them to choose a coach. They decided to go with Pharrell, and although Blake didn't turn his chair around for them, Adam Levine suggested he play a huge role in their wedding.

"I happen to know that Blake is technically an ordained minister, so if you want to get it done...," Adam said. That would make one heck of a Voice finale.

We Can't Stop Watching This Insane Slow-Mo Jell-O Video

This really shouldn't be as interesting as it is. At its very core, the video is five minutes of people smashing Jell-O with a tennis racquet, playing in slow motion so you can see every single millisecond of strange, colorful blob action. And it's GLORIOUS!

via GIPHY

The video was created by The Slow Mo Guys, who do exactly what their name implies - they create videos of themselves doing things, slow it down and make it ten times more interesting than it was when it happened in real time.

We've seen them do some really, really weird ish in the past - like take a soccer ball in the face, stick their fingers in a mouse trap and take a Taser to a bare back, all for the sake of slow-mo.

But this Jell-O video has a special place in our hearts, because while the other ones make us cringe a little bit, this one is strangely captivating and somehow beautiful in its own weird way.

Can't. Stop. Watching.

Even the still shots are stunning. Yes, we just spent five minutes watching Jell-O being smashed...and we regret nothing!

Watch Jennifer Lawrence Put a Crazy Amount of Marshmallows in Her Mouth

Jennifer Lawrence has skills (and habits) we never imagined.

As our girl, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth sat around a fire at MTV's "Camp Mockingjay" recently, the Hunger Games stars revealed a few gross-out things about themselves that shocked us. And J.Law proved she could fit more marshmallows in her mouth than we ever thought anyone could do.

During a game of Truth or Dare, host Josh Horowitz asked the trio "what's the most disgusting habit among the three of you?" Jennifer immediately put Josh on blast saying he does everything from "cricking his neck" and blowing "spit bubbles when he's thinking." And then...Josh blew several spit bubbles to prove her point.

That was just about as gross as J.Law's "disgusting" habit, which she happily admitted to. "My gross one is I probably don't wash my hands after I go to the bathroom," she said. "And then she likes to come back and literally put her hand all over your face," Liam quipped. We literally screamed on the inside after all of that.

Then, while everyone had that on their mind...Jennifer was challenged to see how many marshmallows she could put in her mouth...using her hands. The amount of marshmallows that she was able to stuff in her mouth was completely jaw-dropping, and that was just the beginning.
Wait until you see what else they (mainly Jennifer) all admitted to in the clip above. We can't stop laughing at it.

Demi Lovato Adorably Confuses 'Genes' and 'Jeans'

demi lovato genes jeans mistake videoTomato, to-mah-to...genes, jeans. It's all the same, right? Welll, not exactly. Demi Lovato had a mini flake moment (been there, girl!) and totally confused "jeans" and "genes." And it was hilarious, because Demi.

We've always had a thing for the way Demi doesn't take herself too seriously and can have a laugh at her own expense, but this ditzy mix-up takes the cake.

Demi just had a slight brain fart over two words that sound the same - and, oh yeah, it happened to be captured on video.

While appearing on BBC Radio 1's The School Run bit, she surprised some kids after school, saying, "I'm driving you guys. Is that okay?"

Honestly, how these girls didn't totally lose their ish is beyond us, and when Demi asked about what they learned, one of them answered, "In health, we learned about inherited genes and stuff."

Demi responded, "Okay, that's good. Like hand-me-down clothing?" Um. Demi?

Not to worry though - she figured it all out, adding, "Right, right. Because of mom and dad. Genetics...genes, got it." Nice recovery.

Son Phone Home...Like Now! Watch as This Mom Hilariously Urges Her Son to Call

College is an exciting time full of parties, friends, sports and independence.

But don't let all of that enjoyment keep you from remembering the important things like homework, grades, and...calling home?
At least, that was the lesson that Liam McCarney, a student in Gettysburg, PA, was forced to learn the hard way...

When Liam neglected to call his mother, Ann McCarney, during his time away at school, she decided to send him a friendly little reminder...in the most HILARIOUS and creative way possible.

In a video posted to Facebook, Ann throws some epic shade at her son and his no-calling behind. Even better? She posts it online for the entire world to hear!

"Do you remember that that was me who gave you life? I just haven't heard from you in a while and I thought maybe you forgot about me," she says. "And when you're in your dorm at night, do you just lay there and think: 'Wow, I wonder who fed me for the first 18 years of my life'? Well, I don't wanna brag but that was me!"

And if that wasn't funny enough, Ann then proceeds to sarcastically give her son a quick tutorial on "how to make a phone call"...just in case he forgot how.

LOL.

So, college kids: CALL. YOUR. PARENTS.

I mean, as Ann points out in the video, they did raise you. The least you can do is contact them every now and again...

I bet you that our friend, Liam McCarney, won't ever forget to call now...

6 Rules for Borrowing Clothes From Your Squad

$

young girl showing shirt to...
A perk of having some awesome, generous ladies in your life? Your clothing options are way, way better. If you and your girls are all about sharing clothes, accessories, and shoes (there is nothing better than having friends with the same shoe size) then you know how sweet it is to be able to go "shopping" without having to spend a dime.

Of course, while there are plenty of perks of peeking through a friend's closet, it's not a total free for all. You still have to respect your pal's boundaries and the clothes that they so lent you so you could look the absolute fiercest. Here are the six unofficial rules of borrowing your squad's stuff. (Because you so want to keep on doing it, right?)

1. Stuff with price tags on it are off-limits unless otherwise noted.

It doesn't matter how adorable you think your friend's new pumps are, or if you know that she got them on sale: if she hasn't worn them yet, you shouldn't be the first person to break them in.

2. If you stain or rip something, fess up.

You didn't mean to tear your friend's fave sweater, but it happened. Offer to replace it or take it to the tailor so she doesn't have to deal with that ish.

3. If you stain it, clean it up - immediately.

Your mom taught you a long time ago not to let a stain set, and the rule applies a million times harder if you're wearing someone else's jeans and spill pasta sauce all over them. If you're afraid of effing up the cleanup, take the clothes to the dry cleaner.

4. Don't return dirty clothes. That's just gross.

You love your friends, but not so much that you appreciate their gross sweat on your clothes. Don't put cleaning the clothes you borrowed on them.

5. Don't borrow clothes you know you'll stretch out.

Not everyone has the same body type, and everyone should feel comfortable flaunting whatever it is they got. But if you feel like your boobs basically need to be taped down to fit into your friend's top, don't wear it: you could stretch out the shirt and/or cause awkward rips you'll have to explain the next day.

6. Remember that your friend's clothes aren't a gift, they're a loan.

Return everything in a timely fashion, and treat their clothes like you would want yours treated.

The squad that styles together, stays together - as long as they respect each other's stuff in the process.

Is It Fair to Diss Those Viral Selfie-Taking Sorority Girls?

If you have been on the internet for half a second between now and yesterday, you have seen the video of the Arizona State Alpha Chi Omega sorority girls taking SHAMELESS selfies at a Diamondbacks game.

In case you somehow didn't or need a refresher, check it out on the MLB website.

At first glance, it does seem kinda funny. Like girlfriend, how many HOT DOG selfies can you actually take? But we thought that the announcers were a little savage.

"Every girl in the picture is locked into her phone," says one of the announcers. But this little slice of video was recorded while a T-Mobile promo to become the Data Strong Fan of the Game was asking game goers to "tweet your strongest fan photo" for the chance to be featured on an upcoming broadcast. I mean, what self-respecting Diamondbacks fans wouldn't pick up their phone and start making duck faces for the camera?

We get that ladies can sometimes be aggressively tuned in to their phones, but you can't take a girls' love for selfies, use it as a marketing tool AND mock them when they respond positively. It's just unfair. That said, there is such a thing as getting your selfie to be a little too perfect, sometimes.

Of course, if there was footage of our selfie-taking process, we would be mortified. We feel your pain, girls, but keep doing you!

It's a Fact! Putting a Period in Your Text Makes You Seem Pissed

$

side view of young woman text...The only thing worse than waiting (and waiting and waiting) while you see the "..." in your text string is receiving a reply with a period in it. Why you gotta be so aggressive?!

Turns out, we aren't just being hyper-sensitive when we get a text with a period and get all bent about it. Researchers now confirms that sending a text with a period does, in fact, make you seem pissed off.

via GIPHY

According to a study conducted by American University, we only use sentence-final punctuation 39 percent of the time in texts and 45 percent of the time in online chats, leaving the recipient to wonder why you put that period at the end of this particular text and not the others.

via GIPHY

"In the world of texting and IMing ... the default is to end just by stopping, with no punctuation mark at all," Mark Liberman, a professor of linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania told the New Republic in an email. "In that situation, choosing to add a period also adds meaning because the reader(s) need to figure out why you did it. And what they infer, plausibly enough, is something like 'This is final, this is the end of the discussion or at least the end of what I have to contribute to it.'"

Imagine yourself getting these two texts:

"That's fine" : All right, cool, you're cool with it, I'm cool with it, everything is chill.

...as opposed to this...

"That's fine." : Um, clearly you are NOT fine with that and I'd much rather you just say so instead of being so weird and cryptic about it.

via GIPHY

Now I'm stressed, thanks! Or should I say "thanks."

The lesson: Use the period wisely because that one little tiny dot sends a very strong message!

Louis Tomlinson Rude to Fans? Louis Clears Up the Misunderstanding

Louis Tomlinson rude to fans misunderstanding paparazziLouis Tomlinson is definitely known as the sassy one of the group, but his recent comments outside a club left one critic pretty pissed off about his rude attitude.

It was all a misunderstanding, it turns out.

Earlier this week, Louis appeared to say something snotty to a fan while leaving a nightclub, with a journalist for Mail Online tweeting about it, writing: " If there's one person I dislike it's @Louis_Tomlinson Said to his fans last night when leaving club, 'Do you guys ever f*****g sleep?' Idiot"

Louis addressed the issue head on, setting the record straight and even wishing the guy a "good evening," tweeting: "I was talking to the paps (awkward) but I'm sorry you misunderstood and felt the need to tweet! Have a good evening!"

End of story, right? Er...not quite, as this dude tweeted back: "Yet you didn't seem to stop to take any pictures with any of them or even acknowledge them. Have a good evening too Louis."

Well then.

Fans came to Louis' defense on Twitter, with one writing: "thanks for having our backs," which he responded, "always." louis tomlinson sassy face gif

Jennifer Lawrence Dumps on Donald Trump's Presidential Run

2015 Comic-Con - If we had to compile a list of dream celebrity interviews, Jennifer Lawrence would easily nab the #1 spot. She's sweet, charming, funny and most importantly, she has no fear when it comes to speaking her mind.

While promoting Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, the 25-year-old actress was her typical forthcoming self when discussing the presidential race with Entertainment Weekly. We have to say that we weren't exactly surprised to learn that J. Law had some pointed words for one candidate in particular: Donald Trump.

"If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world," J. Law said. After her co-star Liam agreed with her sentiment, she continued, "I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment. It's either that or it's Hillary's brilliant idea."

Oof. Talk about a major burn. But she wasn't done yet.

"I was watching him on the campaign trail and one guy said, 'I love Donald Trump because he's saying everything I'm thinking and I just can't say it because of the PC factor.' And I'm thinking, 'You are absolutely right. That's who I want representing my country, somebody politically incorrect. That will just be perfect.'"

You gotta love her sarcasm. This could be a stretch, but
we seriously doubt even the freshest, cheesiest slice of pizza will convince J. Law to change her mind about having Trump as president.

Blake Lively's Sweet Note About Preserve Shutdown Will Make You Swoon

Blake Lively has had no problem admitting that Preserve didn't turn out the way she thought it would (and that's just another reason why we love her).

After revealing to Vogue that she is shutting down the site Oct. 9, the Age of Adaline star addressed fans in an Instagram post, showing her appreciation for their support in a way that gave us all types of feels.

"Thank you guys for your support every step of the way in the @preserve_us adventure. I couldn't be more grateful!! One day I'll stop wearing so many hats ....but ...I'll probably be dead by then, so... I'm just doin' what mama taught me ;) She's my idol. Who's yours? #WhyIsThereNoEmojiForSpiceGirlsGirlPowerFingers ?!!!," she captioned a shot of herself at a Preserve shoot playfully wearing three top hats, a ton of clothing layers and palming a picnic basket.

Blake previously announced the news in a Vogue.com interview, telling the site, "We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: It's not making a difference in people's lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way."

Luckily, her site isn't gone for good. The actress said she plans to revamp the site post-shutdown and relaunch it, possibly under a new name. She's also listening to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" on repeat to help her get her ready for the change - which we totally support (and highly recommend dancing to as well).

Blake hasn't said how long it will be before we see her lifestyle site up again, but, considering we were fans of Preserve, we have a feeling that what our girl has up her sleeves next is going to be epic.

Awkward! Demi Lovato Asked If She Sings Better Than Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato asked better singer than Selena Gomez videoThis is so awk. In a recent interview, Demi Lovato was asked if she's a better singer than Selena Gomez. Yeah. Someone actually asked her that. Demi was a total pro with her answer though.

During a rapid fire question segment in her interview with Swedish radio station RIX FM, Demi was asked to answer yes/no about a variety of things.

Those included personal questions like whether she trims her hair 'down there' (she swears by laser treatments), if she's ever killed an animal (WTF?) and if she sings better than Selena (around 9:00 in the video).

She answered, "What? That's not even a good question." When pressed to answer, Demi responded smartly, "We both sing great."

Demi is getting hella good at avoiding uncomfortable questions - take, for instance, her answer to a question about Selena and Nick Jonas dating, where she answered "I'm Switzerland!" Keeping it neutral is sometimes the best approach.

During the chat, Demi also revealed her "very flexible" party trick (she's double jointed) and that she prefers to stay home rather than go out, explaining, "I bloomed too early."

Interestingly, Selena recently addressed her vocal talent, telling Flare magazine, "I'm not the best singer - like, I know I'm not Céline Dion," explaining, "My strength is translating emotion, because I'm such a feeler."

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS 2015 Universal Pictures film with from left Hayley Kiyoko, Aubrey Peebles and Stefanie ScottThe live-action movie Jem and the Holograms, inspired by the '80s cartoon TV series and starring Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau and Hayley Kiyoko, hits theaters on October 23. As the world is preparing for all the glitter and face paint, Shopbop has made it a little bit easier to look like your fave member of the Holograms with a Jem-themed capsule collection, which you can shop online. YAASSS.

The Shopbop collection includes jewelry, sunnies, phone cases, water bottles, tanks and sweatshirts. Some of the faves here at Cambio are the Flash Tattoos ($20) - did somebody say Halloween costume?! - and the Wildfox World Tour Sweatshirt ($115). The old-school animated characters appear on some pieces, while others take a more subtle (if you could call it that) approach with star designs and neon ombré. Some things, like this Wildfox Outrageous Hiker Tank ($64), say "Truly Outrageous," which is the title of one of Jem's hit songs. The stuff is not exactly cheap, but Jem fans will definitely have stars in their eyes.

We'll leave you with this clip of '80s hair-band magic:

Is Bella Hadid Headed to the 2016 Olympics?

69th Annual Tony Awards - ArrivalsBella Hadid is on a mission to go from fashion it girl to future Olympian.

Refinery 29 reports that the 18-year-old high fashion model revealed in an interview with Porter magazine that she has her sights set on competing in horseback riding at the 2016 Olympics. As she told the magazine, slaying runways all over the world isn't the only talent Bella inherited from her mother, former model and Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster.

"My devotion stemmed from my mom's love of horses," Bella told Porter. "I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow."

Trying out for the Olympics sounds like a major undertaking, and quite frankly, a scary one. But since Bella spends her free time jumping off yachts with fellow model and friend Kendall Jenner, we seriously doubt she'll let fear keep her from pursuing an Olympic medal.

In fact, she deserves a round of applause in advance for continuing her very own Built By Girls movement. Her Olympic goal shows other young women that there are numerous paths to success and also proves that it's definitely possible to master more than one interest at a time, even if they're on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Good luck, Bella!

Blogging Is Out, Plogging Is In

home technology and internet...Remember when LiveJournal was a thing?

It seems like the other social media you use every day are trying to take the place of it and other blogging platforms.

A slew of new tech updates that allow for longer status updates on sites like Twitter and Facebook are allowing for longer, blog-like updates, which is being called by Wired "plogging," or the idea of blogging via other online platforms. The article says:

"Platforms have figured out how to monopolize their attention; in a way, bloggers should be glad that they're now getting more tools to command that attention for themselves without having to compress their thoughts into an arbitrarily small box. Yes, you give up a degree of independence when you commit your content to someone else's site. But you also become much easier to discover."

Interesting. So what are these social media updates? Earlier this week, Twitter announced that it was working on a product that allow updates over the 140-character limit. Last week, Facebook made changes to its Notes feature (WTF...they have those? We thought that too.) to allow them to be made more "beautiful and customizable, according to a post in Facebook's Newsroom. The example they show is of a recipe with a photo, which looks pretty much like a blog post to us.

While these changes are pretty cool - and much more easy to to find on a single platform - we kind of like visiting our fave blogs because they're so pretty and immersive. What team are you on - blogging or plogging?

Selena Gome on Flare magazineSelena Gomez might be looking for a boo these days, but that doesn't mean she's going to go online to find one. The singer recently talked about those infamous dating sites and apps that stars like Hilary Duff have openly been on, and she's not down.

In an interview with Flare magazine, Selena was asked if she'd ever join a dating website. It's pretty much the norm these days but not for her.

"I would never go on Tinder! I think it would scare me. I go on dates. It's not that difficult. I'm a nice young lady [laughs] but that's not my focus. I'm really stoked about being with myself right now," she said.

She also talked about her roller coaster two years. You know, the ones with all the Justin Bieber drama.

"I've felt so much in the past two years, from being super in love and then dealing with things to getting older and all these beautiful experiences that were complicated and exciting."

Jaden Smith's girlfriend sure knows how to make a statement.

Sarah Synder posted a shot of herself on Instagram rocking a t-shirt with her mug shot on it and her followers couldn't stop giggling about it. "Thugest life ever omg," one person wrote, while other wrote, "Wearing a t shirt with her own mug shot on it.. No chill," and someone else joked, "You my role model bruhh" with a cry face emoticon.

There were rumors that Sarah wore that shirt when she went to court Wednesday, which took the attention surrounding her post to a whole other level, but it turned out that was not true.

A photo posted by @sarahfuckingsnyder on

"Contrary to some reports, Ms. [Sarah] Snyder did not wear a T-shirt with her mug shot on it to court," her attorney Robert Schuster, told Page Six in a statement. "That was apparently donned and subsequently published later that evening. I believe Ms. Snyder's artistic expression represents her own existentialist beliefs relative to the situation she finds herself in and is not inappropriate given her position on these unfounded charges."

As for that mug shot, Sarah was busted in June and charged with one count of grand larceny in the third degree for allegedly swiping a $15,999 Hermès purse in Katonah, N.Y. in February.

Sarah's attorney is claiming that she not only didn't take the bag, but wasn't in the state of New York when it was swiped.

So pretty much every NYC lady is freaking out over the fact that Hurricane Joaquin is about to ruin our fun weekend plans like our parents do when they ground us. Instead of a crazy night out on the town with our girlfriends or bae, we're gonna have to settle for a low-key night of Netflix and pizza (which isn't so terrible). But let's get real, this hurricane is not an isolated incident. Climate change is a serious issue and according to science, it's only gonna get worse. So what can we do? Our best bet is to listen to STEM Muse Jayde Lovell's advice on surviving the impending climate change apocalypse.

Jayde's a real-life scientist who knows how to make learning hella fun, too (just check out her sex education video). She consistently busts stereotypes that scientists have to look like this guy. Are Becky G and Austin Mahone Back Together Already?

Interesting...

We don't want to get our hopes up here, but rumors are sparking that Becky G and Austin Mahone are back together...and it all has something do with a couple of posts that popped up on social media.

Austin's friend Zach Dorsey kinda kicked off the rumorville when he posted a shot of himself, Becky, Austin and other friends hanging out. "Tribal 3 is back," Zach captioned the shot. Becky and Austin weren't cuddling or packing on the PDA in the photo, but it's the first snap fans have seen of them together since they broke up. So, basically...they lost it.

"When becky is in this photo even though her and Austin broke up coincidence I think not," one person wrote. "Becstin," many more simply commented, while someone else made quite the observation: "Hold up....did anybody notice becky and austin are together in that photo omggggg oh now I know why becky tweeted that."

Tweeted what, you ask? That same day Becky raised eyebrows too when she wrote this on Twitter: For now, neither one of them have specifically said they're back on, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
