This SnapChat "Prank" Just Got a Student Arrested, So Let This Be a Warning

Joking about committing an act of violence is never funny, especially considering the recent string of gun-related tragedies. Unfortunately, that's exactly what one Arizona teen did via SnapChat - and ultimately it led to his arrest.

According to NBC News, an unnamed Arizona teen was arrested for posting a threat to SnapChat. The incident occurred after a student named Kaylee in Colorado saw that the Arizona teenager posted a pic with the caption "planning the school shooting" on the social media app. Obviously, that didn't sit too well with Kaylee, who reported the SnapChat to her own school's resource center. When the police in Phoenix police arrested the the Arizona student who sent the snap, he admitted that he did write the caption, but that it was nothing more than a "prank." He was detained for creating a hoax, which is a felony.

The student who sent the SnapChat probably didn't think too much about the message that he was sending with the photo caption, but in today's world no one can take words like that as a joke. Kaylee did the right thing by reporting his scary picture, and I would implore anyone in the same situation to follow her lead. It's too risky to assume that things are jokes or that people are bluffing when they make violent threats. If you see something, speak out: it was a hoax this time, but you never know when it might not be.

2015 MTV Video Music Awards - Red CarpetKylie Jenner's awesome #IAmMoreThan Instagram campaign is aimed at helping people understand bullying, how it affects the victims and showing how people have triumphed over their bullies.

She promised that she was going to be getting "more personal" in her next post the night before she shared Lizzie Velazquez's story and when she did, she kept her promise.

First, we want to share Lizzie's story, because it's powerful and she's an absolutely incredible woman.

When she was 17 years old, Lizzie was online and discovered a YouTube video that had been made about her, calling her the "world's ugliest woman." What's worse, after reading the comments, Lizzie said she cried for days.

Lizzie suffers from a condition that prevents her from gaining weight. She is also blind in her right eye, has limited vision in the other and suffers from a weak immune system. Sadly, she has been bullied, but she managed to turn her experience into something positive. The 26-year-old is now a motivational speaker, an author, an anti-bullying crusader and a huge inspiration for all of us.

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

After explaining what Lizzie went through and how she was bullied due to her condition, Kylie shared, "People are so quick to say horrible things about me everyday over and over and sometimes I can't take it. Even I at times get affected by it, I breakdown, I hide, I cry. It's resulted in a lot of anxiety for me that I've never had to deal with before ever."

"My every move has been documented for the whole world and its been a nightmare trying to find myself through all of this. And I've absolutely lost apart of myself," she continued.

She also shared the words of wisdom that Lizzie shared with her. "Most importantly I try to convey that all you need to have is a brave heart to accomplish whatever you want to achieve. Let the negative build you up instead of knocking you down. You are enough no matter what; you were put on this earth for a reason," she recalls Lizzie telling her.

Lizzie's documentary is appropriately titled "A Brave Heart" and will be in theaters on September 25.

Katy Perry Tries to Ride a Segway at Burning Man, Fails Gloriously

There are a million and one reasons we love Katy Perry and her latest Instagram post proves why our KP obsession is more than justified.

The pop star is currently on a break from her hugely successful Prismatic and Prismatic Live World Tours and she decided to spend the time listening to some other musicians do their thing - at Burning Man!

Of course, that's cool and everything, but just her mere attendance at the music festival is not enough to make our day. It's the video she shared FROM there, however, that was.

"Obvious first time burner alert," she captioned the video above. We have to admit, the mask and goggles are freaking us out a little bit, but girlfriend is in the middle of a fierce desert dust storm, so she did what she had to do.

via GIPHY

It's clearly her first time riding a Segway, too, and that's what made the video so enjoyable. After all, falling is not embarrassing if you're able to laugh at yourself, which is exactly what KP did here, by posting it for her 27 million Instagram followers' viewing pleasure.

Thanks, Katy! Hope you had fun at the music fest!

Zelda Williams Shares Hopeful Message on Coping With Depression and Grief

Premiere Of Amazon's Series More than a year after Robin Williams' tragic suicide, Zelda Williams has written a touching letter that articulates her bouts with depression and grief in the wake of her loss. The 26-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a photo of the moon rising over a lake, accompanied by a poignant caption.

"I came to a realization this year that I feel compelled to share here, for whomsoever may need it," Zelda wrote. "Avoiding fear, sadness or anger is not the same thing as being happy. I live my sadness every day, but I don't resent it anymore. Instead, I do it now so that the wonderful moments of joy I do find are not in order to forget, but to inhabit and enjoy for their own sake."

She then went on to address others who may be battling depression, urging them to remain hopeful.

"And for those suffering from depression, I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be." She continued, "Because I promise you, there're enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there."

Moonrise on the lake 🌕 I spent this night shivering and laughing under a clear, cold sky full of stars with people I love just to witness something beautiful. We mooned the moon and laughed ourselves hoarse, and I'm so incredibly grateful for every silly second. I came to a realization this year that I feel compelled to share here, for whomsoever may need it: Avoiding fear, sadness or anger is not the same thing as being happy. I live my sadness every day, but I don't resent it anymore. Instead, I do it now so that the wonderful moments of joy I do find are not in order to forget, but to inhabit and enjoy for their own sake. It's not easy. In fact, I'd say it takes much more effort to consciously do than it does to just stay sad, but with all my heart, I cannot tell you how worth it it is. And for those suffering from depression, I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be. Because I promise you, there're enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there.

Shortly after her father passed, Zelda quit social media temporarily, but we appreciate the fact that she's using the platform as a way to share and inspire others to stay determined in rough times even when she's in the midst of her own.

OMG! Teacher Sprays Sleeping Student With Fire Extinguisher

We've all had those days where the stay awake in class struggle ultimately got the best of us. But a student in The Netherlands is probably regretting the moment he gave in to urge to snooze in school.

In a viral video, a young man can be seen napping peacefully on his desk. He doesn't respond to his classmate poking his ear with a pen, while filming the entire incident. We can only assume that either this wasn't the first time he'd been warned about his incessant napping tendencies or his snoring seriously disturbed the lecture. Clearly the student's teacher was so over the snoozing because he woke him up with a fire extinguisher.

Obviously, the blast of the instrument (along with the teacher's maniacal yelling) startled the student, who woke up and stumbled his way through the fog and out of the room.

Now, we've heard of teachers taking extreme measures to maintain order in their classroom, but this seems like a bit of an overreaction, not to mention some sort of code violation. Sure, the kid shouldn't have gotten in his Zs during class. But who doesn't indulge in a little power nap every now and again? Maybe if this teacher snuck in a mid-day nap, he wouldn't have been so quick to go from 0 to insane.

Rob Kardashian Celebrates His 26th Birthday At 1 OAK Nightclub At MirageRob Kardashian is back on Instagram in a big way and we're loving what we're seeing so far!

Despite being part of one of the most famous families in the world, the 28-year-old has stayed out of the spotlight for a few years now. During his last few appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we saw him struggling with his weight and from what numerous family members have said on the show and in interviews, that seemed to be an ongoing issue for him.

In this new pic he just shared on Instagram, even though it's only a side view, he looks a lot slimmer and appears to have just finished eating a salad.

Rob has been living with sister Khloe Kardashian since she separated from Lamar Odom and it sounds like that's been going really great...for both of them, actually. "Rob definitely has his ups and downs, and he's been struggling for the past year and a half, maybe two years, which I think we've all had those times in our life," Khloe told E! News back in April.

"For the last week, he's been doing better, but I want Rob to do consistently for...forever," she continued. "So right now I'm really proud of him. He's been working out a little and trying to get his groove back. And he acknowledges it. He's aware that he's very introverted and of course not the way he used to be. I think being aware is probably the best thing."

From the few pics he's shared recently, it looks like he stuck with his workout regimen and the results are definitely showing.

There Are Now Day-of-the-Week Panties for Women

For some reason, I recall being completely obsessed with my day-of-the-week undies as a child. Making sure that they actually corresponded with the current day was of the utmost importance. Fortunately, any adult who desires schedule-conscious panties will be most pleased to learn that jewelry line Alison Lou and lingerie and sleepwear designer Morgan Lane have collaborated to produce a line of the weekday underwear for women.

While these underwear are certainly no replacement for a planner or the calendar app that alerts you to upcoming appointments, there's definitely something appealing about sporting colorful underwear that remind you what day of the week it is (especially when it's Friday!). A classic design that's revamped with a modern aesthetic, each pair of the new and improved panties features embroidered emojis to reflect the emotions that go along with particular days of the week.
We can't think of a better way to cheers to the freakin' weekend than with a pair of party hat emoji-embellished green panties.

The Real Reason You Can't Wear White After Labor Day - And How to Break the Rule

Ever heard the saying, "Don't wear white after Labor Day"? Ever wondered who came up with that and why someone would even start such an inane rule? Well, Cambio Fashion Muse Raven Vincent found out for you guys!

It turns out that the origin of this peculiar fashion faux paus actually began in the early 1900s when wearing white meant that you were not only fashionable AF, but rich enough to buy clothing that made you sweat as little as possible in the scorching summer sun. After the Depression, however, the poor - who couldn't afford white before - began to make enough money to become the infamous "suburban middle-class," which meant that they could finally afford to strut their stuff in white as well. Enter the "no white after Labor Day" rule. If you were in-the-know, you followed it. If you didn't, you were clearly not upper class. And while we little people are still fixated on the colors and patterns that the rich and famous wear today, (I mean, we ALL still tune into E! Fashion Police), it's safe to say that the whole "no-white after Labor Day" thing runs in very few circles nowadays.

Need help incorporating white into your fall and winter wardrobe? We got you covered, girl! Raven has five super chic ways that you can add white to your outfits and look as snazzy as one of those fashionable AF rich socialites. Want more Raven? Check out all her other videos on her amazing new YouTube channel, Themakingofraven. Is Nick Jonas' Song 'Area Code' About Selena Gomez?

Nick Jonas area code about Selena GomezOoh, we are totes LOVING Nick Jonas' new song, "Area Code," which he shared with the world over the weekend on Soundcloud, tweeting, "mood" to introduce it.

Moody, indeed. Nick is killing this new sexy vibe.

Here's the interesting part though - there's totally a Selena Gomez reference in the lyrics that people are going cray over.

Nick sings: "You say I never been good for you/You can't deny I gave it good to you." Hmm. Sounds a bit like a shoutout to Sel's song "Good For You." Just sayin'.

While we thought maybe this was just a coincidence, Nick favorited a couple of fan tweets about the song having a Selena reference. Did he just confirm it's about Sel? As you know, Nick and Selena were spotted together at a VMAs after party recently, looking super happy, while he whispered in her ear. Oh to be a fly on that wall.

As for Selena's reaction to Nick's song being about her, according to HollywoodLife.com, a source says, "She had absolutely no idea that he was going to drop that into a record and is a little surprised Nick would do something like that..."

The insider added that "Selena isn't too disheartened. In fact, she thinks it's fair game. It would be hypocritical of her to slam someone for writing about their past love-life experiences considering she's written songs directed at her former boyfriends."

What do you think about Nick's new song? While we didn't initially read into the lyrics being about his famous ex-girlfriend, we've gotta think that Nick favoriting those tweets is pretty damn telling, right?

Niall Horan fractured foot explains what happened videoOh no, Niall! Niall Horan got a mysterious foot injury and even he can't explain it.

Niall was spotted with a boot on his foot, which understandably had a lot of fans concerned that he seriously hurt himself. Turns out he has a fracture, which was found in an X-ray after he had some foot pain.

The craziest thing? Niall has no idea how it happened!

In a video taken at One Direction's recent Montreal concert, Louis Tomlinson asked Nialler what he did to his foot.

Niall answered, "I don't know how," saying he woke up with the pain and went to the doctor to discover he had fractured it. Ouch!

We hope Niall's on the mend soon - last year he needed knee surgery, so he definitely doesn't need a foot injury now. Who knew being in a boy band was so dangerous? Between Harry Styles falling on stage and fans chucking everything under the sun at the 1D guys during concerts, injuries are bound to happen. Stay safe out there, guys.

Boot off chilling.

Justin Bieber at Travis Scott Justin Bieber did the coolest thing ever while out at a bar in Indiana over the weekend...and it didn't involve pissing in a bucket!

On Friday, September 4, the Biebs played a drum set at The Venue, a popular bar and music spot in Angola. The swaggy singer joined Bonafide, the cover band scheduled to play, on stage, taking a turn on the drums and posing for photos with the astonished band members.

"He came up and asked if he could play them," one band member, Heidi Herber, told WANE. She added, "He just looked like a normal kid in the bar, except for the hat and hoodie. We had no idea [he was going to be there], in fact, he was one of the first people in bar."

Bieber was just playing an arcade game when someone at the bar recognized him. Que the chaos!

"It was a social media frenzy. The phones started to come out," Heidi said. "Social media is extremely powerful." The bar actually had to call local police for extra security. But, the whole incident was all-good. The band saw their biggest turnout yet and ended up thanking Bieber for bringing all the people into the bar. So why was Justin randomly in Indiana in the first place? He was reportedly in the area visiting a friend.

Nick Jonas and Taylor Swift partying tequila storiesNick Jonas figures he's got some catching up to do when it comes to partying, given he missed out on it a bit when was doing that whole "wholesome image" thing. No worries - Taylor Swift to the rescue!

As we already guessed, Taylor throws some of the best shindigs...but getting Nick's inside scoop of some next level details leaves us wanting to know more!

Nick told The Sun (via Yahoo): "Taylor Swift is great for a night out as it involves a lot of tequila. With her it's all about good friends and celebrating friendship, it's such a positive environment to be a part of. She's great." (That explains how that whole zebra mask thing happened.)

Okay, so where's our invite? We've been patiently waiting...

Nick also dished on his wildest night, which involved a frat house in Ohio, as he explained: "My wildest night was definitely when I went to a fraternity in Ohio. I spent about £1,000 on shots and ten people turned into 150 people. My head was spinning!"

Nick is definitely having the time of his life right now, telling the paper that he's playing catch up: "I feel like I missed out on the early days of partying because I was in the Jonas Brothers but I'm definitely making up for it now."

And yeah, we're totally jealous that he gets to hang with some of our fave celebs.

That said, we wouldn't pass up the chance to sift through someone else's.

We found this infographic on Fast Company that maps out the most EMBARRASSING Google searches by state. Yep, the geniuses at real estate site Estately sifted through 11 years of Google search data for each state and pulled out the top-ranking search terms that they deemed the most blush-worthy. Savage.

The results are pretty hilarious, and the silly "analyses" dreamed up by Estately incorporating all the weird search terms are on point. Take Colorado, for example. Since they've been Googling the terms vape pen, Crocs (the shoes), men's rights and the men's rights movement, Estately made the following conclusion: "If you're a man in Colorado wearing Crocs and puffing on your vape pen you deserve to have your rights taken away."

Other weird search terms? Missouri is known for Googling "vajazzling" the most (O_O we thought that trend died?), Ohio has been searching for monkey porn (?!), Arkansas has questions about Lunchables, Tennessee has been wondering "Is Bigfoot real?" and Rhode Island wants to know what the average penis size is. Secret Twins?! These Strangers Look Nearly Identical and It's Absolutely Insane

Have you ever dreamed of having a secret twin, a la The Parent Trap? These two strangers basically lived that movie, save for the whole (admittedly pretty important) "parents" thing. These two strangers used the internet to find the person who shared their same face, and good luck telling them apart.

Website TwinStrangers.net is to thank for this amazing discovery. The site allows users to upload their own pics and look for people who might share an uncanny similarity to them - which is exactly what happened when 22-year-old Ambra found 33-year-old Jennifer on the site. After discovering that they basically shared a face, the women decided to meet up - and it turns out that they had even more in common than just their looks.

After meeting up in Texas, the women discovered that they actually have plenty in common: both love horses and are avid readers. Perhaps strangest of all is that they even sound similar, despite the fact that they are from entirely different parts of the country. The two look and act so alike that it's crazy to think that they don't share any common relatives - they really are nearly identical strangers.
Check out the entire cray video below... and maybe consider uploading your own picture to TwinStrangers.net to see if you have a secret twin running around out there.

The Janoskians slam Louis Tomlinson baby daddy Briana JungwirthAustralian band The Janoskians have some very strong opinions about Louis Tomlinson's status as baby daddy-to-be...and they didn't pull any punches when asked about it recently.

Basically, they believe that Louis could have prevented the whole impending fatherhood thing if he just used a contraceptive.

Beau Brooks added, "When it is raining just wear a raincoat. One mistake can haunt you for the rest of your life. Be safe and make sure you know that every decision you make is the right one."

Instagram IRL?! You're Totally Going to Want This Ink-Free Polaroid Camera

$

young woman looking at polaroid
Taking photos on your iPhone is a breeze, and considering the fact that it's a phone and not an actual camera your using to snap cute pics of your dog, the quality is actually pretty good. But despite the ease and simplicity of an iPhone pic, there is one thing that sucks about smart phone photography: it's a total chore to turn your digital photos into real-life copies. There's a new technology that could combat that, and it's a brand-new Polaroid camera. Get snap happy.

Of course, Polaroid cameras themselves are anything but new - the instantly-developing camera has been around way longer than any digital variety. The major difference with this new Polaroid camera - called the Polaroid Snap - and the one your mom gave you to play around with as a kid is that the Polaroid Snap doesn't use traditional ink. No more shaking that picture around in your hand while humming Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" - the Polaroid Snap uses ZINK printing technology, which makes every photo come out of the camera with the image already printed. Just call it the real-life Instagram.

The pics that come out with this camera are two by three inches, which makes them the perfect size to sneak into birthday cards or tuck into a friend's notebook. The downside to the Polaroid Snap, though, is how much those tiny pics cost. While the camera clocks in at a reasonable $99, the paper you need to purchase is $24.99 for a pack of 50 - and if you're camera-happy like I am, you know that stuff will go fast.

Not down to invest mega bucks into the Polaroid Snap? Don't forget that those disposable cameras are always available at drug stores for when you're in desperate need of some real-life pics. You may have to go to the store to get them developed, but you'll also score some incredible candids without breaking the bank.
