Katy Perry had a big night last night!

The singer and her date rapper Riff Raff were THE most buzzed-about couple on the red carpet, thanks to their throwback Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake denim ensembles. Oh, and she also won a VMA so that's always nice.

Surprisingly, though, neither of those two things were the highlight of Katy's night. While the pop star has probably met and mingled with any celebrity she's ever wanted to, she still gets starstruck sometimes, especially when Blue Ivy Carter is in the house.

During the show, Katy tweeted this...and we died right along with her:

Is there a new celebrity feud brewing? Miley Cyrus reportedly called Ed Sheeran an a**hole at the MTV Video Music Awards when he went to the stage to accept his win for Best Male Video.

Why was Miley so upset?

The jury's still out on the whole thing because, while a gif and video of the moment exists for us to slow down and carefully dissect, we're not sure if Miley was throwing shade at Ed or not. At first glance, we don't see it, but take a closer look...

Check out the evidence: Ed gets up to go to the stage for his acceptance speech and gives some high fives along the way while Miley sits looking unamused and serious, as she seems to say something in his direction.

A**hole though? She also didn't clap for Ed, which is adding fuel to the rumor that she was dissing him.

Plus, there's supporting evidence that Miley might be pissed at Ed for an interview he gave The Mirror last year, where he commented on Miley's twerk: "It's a stripper move. If I had a daughter of mine, I wouldn't want her twerking. When I first heard Wrecking Ball, I thought it was a brilliant song. But the video distracts too much from it."

Looks like Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift really are good buddies (and all of that feud-y stuff is well behind them), judging by their epic hang at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Demi was spotted sitting behind Taylor in the audience and they were snapped in a bunch of pics having a total BFF fest. We couldn't help but feel like Selena Gomez was missing from the picture though, but given Demi's recent admission that they've grown apart, yeah...it would have been awkward.

Tay and Demi were seen chatting and dancing together in the crowd and Demi even shared a super cute selfie of the two of them (it's in the gallery above).

Demi was also seen hanging out with pal Nick Jonas and his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo. He even shared a pic of them together, writing, "@oliviaculpo @ddlovato so much fun with these two!"

When we hear the name Kendall Jenner, we think model, reality star, designer, author...but not loser!

But in her and Kylie Jenner's DuJour magazine spread, where they posed with a slew of hot male models, that's exactly what Kendall calls herself as she attempts to squash the rumors that she likes to party.

"I'm the biggest loser," Kendall opines. "The [tabloids] say that we're both [partiers] and that we're crazy. We're the easiest targets."

But the 18-year-old doesn't hold back when she reveals one of Kylie's major flaws. "She's really dirty," Kendall says of her younger sis. "She's the messiest person ever and does not care. Literally she'll sleep at my house for one night and I'll go into the guestroom and it'll be trashed."

Sounds like Kendall doesn't miss living at home with Kylie very much! What do you think of her comments?

Call us nostalgic, but when we think of Britney Spears, we still think of the hot young blonde slithering around the VMA stage with a snake around her neck singing "I'm a Slave 4 U."

Her new Las Vegas show seems to really be pushing the pop star's sex factor, so maybe we're not totally crazy for holding that bombshell Brit image in our minds.

Videos like this one, however, remind us that when the show is over, Brit is just a regular girl. She's a full-on soccer mom (and we mean that in the best way possible) with two kids and a fun sense of humor, as demonstrated by this Instagram video she shared.

"Sometimes I do impressions," she captioned the vid where she does her best Woody Woodpecker impression while she sits next to her adorably embarrassed son in the back seat of a car.

It's actually kind of good, but it's awkward in a weird way. We can't put our finger on it. It's just odd. Cute, but odd.

Can't we all just get along?

Brody Jenner declined Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding invite because either he didn't get a plus one for his girlfriend, he had to work, or both. Nobody really knows for sure why he declined (and went to Kim's ex's wedding a few weeks later), but that's what went down.

At least he was given the option of saying "no," though. According to a new report by RadarOnline, Brody had his birthday bash over the weekend and Kim was left off the guest list.

An insider told the site that inviting Kim was never even considered. "Publicly the two will say there is no feud, but that is all for keeping up the appearance of having a big extended family for the sake of the E! reality show," they dished. "Brody never sees Kim except when they are filming, and the two aren't even considered friends."

Brody's sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner went, but they seem to be the only two from the Kardashian clan who did. Maybe Brody just wanted it to be a Jenner-only event?

Do you guys think Brody was purposely dissing Kim by not inviting her or do you think that if they're not super close, why would he?

Yes, she invited him to her wedding, but a wedding is a much bigger deal than a birthday party. Plus, Kim herself said she doesn't really go out and party anymore, so we can kinda see both sides.

It's a girl!

While hitting the red carpet at the Emmys today, Hayden Panettiere revealed she and her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko are expecting a daughter.

"I can't wait for her to come out, this little one," the Nashville star told E! News. "It's a girl?," E! News host Giuliana Rancic asked. "I think I just said that, didn't I?" she replied. "Yes, it's a little girl."

Hayden was glowing as she stepped on the carpet in a plunging, glam Lorena Sarbu gown. The 25-year-old mom-to-be went on to tell E! News she and her boxer beau are still trying to pick out a baby name, adding, "We have to make sure that it is American and Ukrainian all at the same time. That's a little rough...we're still working on it."

And she was surprisingly candid, considering she's kept mum on her pregnancy until this week, adding that she has been having a serious craving for chicken noodle soup.

News of Hayden's pregnancy first leaked back in May with Us Weekly reporting that a source told them "Hayden is totally pregnant!" Earlier in the week, the actress finally announced her pregnancy when she took the ALS Cold Water Challenge and nominated her unborn child.

Hayden and Wladimir dated for two years before breaking up in 2011, and got back together in 2013. As far as when they plan to marry, Hayden told Parade in May their wedding was delayed due to the Eastern European crisis, explaining, "Everything that's happening in Ukraine definitely put a hold on things. But we have time."

Umm...John Travolta Jr.?

Gwen Stefani made a flub similar to the actor's unforgettable Adele Dazeem moment when she messed up the pronunciation of the Colbert Report at the Emmys Monday night.

While presenting the award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series with Adam Levine, the No Doubt rocker opened up the envelope and announced the winner, saying with a big smile on her face "The Colebore Report!" Huh?

Adam leaned into the mic and corrected her, saying "The Colbert Report" with the correct pronunciation, but the damage had already been done.


Just in case anyone missed that moment, Jimmy Fallon made sure to call Gwen out for the flub when he jokingly walked on stage as Stephen Colbert and more folks from the Colbert Show headed up to accept their award.

Jimmy's show was nominated in the same category, so he took the mic and said Gwen pronounced the show's name wrong and that probably meant The Colbert Report didn't actually win. To rub it in even further, Jimmy delivered Stephen's acceptance speech for him, with Stephen whispering in his ear to tell him what to say. Yikes!



We wonder if Gwen will send Stephen some flowers a la John's apology gift to Idina Menzel.

Before the Emmys came to an end, Billy Crystal gave a touching tribute to his friend, the late Robin Williams.

"He made us laugh. Hard," Billy said after taking the stage. "I spent many happy hours with Robin onstage. The brilliance was astounding. The relentless energy was thrilling. I used to think that if I could just put a saddle on him and stay on for eight seconds, I was going to do okay."

"As genius as he was on stage, he was the greatest friend you could ever imagine," he continued. "Supportive. Protective. Loving. It's very hard to talk about him in the past because he was so present in all of our lives. For almost 40 years, he was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy. [His] beautiful light will continue to shine on us forever. And the glow will be so bright, it'll warm your heart. It'll make your eyes glisten. And you'll think to yourselves: Robin Williams. What a concept."

After a moment of silence, clips of Robin's first performance on the Tonight Show in 1981, along with several other clips of more of his performances were played.

The tribute came after the show's In Memoriam tribute, which opened with Sara Bareilles singing a beautiful version of Charlie Chaplin's "Smile." Maya Angelou, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Walker were just a few of the celebs that were honored.

Robin was found dead in the bedroom of his Tiburon, Calif. home earlier this month after hanging himself. His widow, Susan Schneider, later revealed that the actor not only suffered from depression and anxiety, but also was in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease.

We've seen plenty of ice bucket challenges so far, but this takes things to a whole other level.

After accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, new mom Olivia Wilde decided to use an ice-cold bucket of breast milk instead of ice water to complete the challenge.

"I would like to dedicate this to my friend Scott Lou," she said in her video. "I will be donating in your honor. I hope it's okay. I couldn't find any water so I'm going to use breast milk. Took me all night to make this."

Just before we got too worried that her son Otis wouldn't have breast milk for several months, the star admitted that she was just kidding. "Oh wait some of you thought that was really breast milk? Oh dear. Uh thank you? But my boobs aren't that generous. Haha.," she tweeted Sunday. Whew.


Her fiancé Jason Sudeikis also took on the challenge (for what seemed like hours) and posted a video that showed his Race costar Stephan James continuously pouring ice water on him and pretending like it was just one bucket full.

After a solid minute of Stephan dumping ice cold water and ice cubes on him, Jason finally said, "Is that it? I hope that's wet enough for you Mitt Romney." Governor Romney was one of the people who nominated him for the challenge.

Since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge went viral earlier this month, donations for the ALS Association have reached nearly $89 million (!). The money will be used to fund research for Lou Gehrig's Disease.

We are seriously obsessed with Ansel Elgort...he acts, he deejays, he tap dances and now he's singing at weddings, too.

But not just any wedding, of course. Over the weekend, his sister Sophie got married at their family's home in Southampton and the Fault in Our Stars hottie serenaded the crowd post-nuptials.

The 20-year-old "sang a song during the reception and wowed everybody," according to PageSix.

Luckily, there was evidence on Instagram of Ansel on the mic. The Divergent dude was also in the wedding, looking handsome as ever in a jacket and bowtie, and he later hit the photobooth with his brothers.

And while it seemed Ansel was the life of the party, posing for photos with lucky guests like this girl, we noticed his girlfriend seemed to be MIA from all the photos we saw.

Is it wrong that we kind of hope Ansel's back on the market?!

One Direction aren't breaking up, so we're not sure why we have to read another new rumor about them splitting, like, every week. It didn't help that Simon Cowell recently commented on their inevitable split. Way to stir up more gossip, Simon.

Niall Horan was quick to shoot down the 1D breakup rumors yet again, putting it out there plain and simple: they're going to be around for awhile. Will they eventually pack it in and call it quits though?

Niall told the Irish Sun: "He [Simon] was clearly misquoted or something. We're going to go as long as we can go, as long as people want us we will be here. None of that rumors business."

As for solo rumors, he commented, "I don't want to think about that at the minute. I'm still here, still with the band," adding, "I don't need to think about it at all - I'm having a great time here, touring and having the craic with the lads - we are all still having a great time."

He added: "We've got another album at the end of the year and doing our business as we do on a kind of yearly basis. I'm not thinking of what I have to do after just yet."

To support all that feel-good "we're not going anywhere" stuff, Niall tweeted earlier this week: "Love this time of year, decisions . Album artwork, album title, music video ideas ! can't wait for you guys to hear and see what we're doing."

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and her boyfriend of five years, Matt Prokop, have called it quits. Us Weekly reports that her rep has confirmed the news, with a source telling the site that "Sarah's doing fine" after the breakup, adding, "It didn't work out. She's young. They decided they would be better off as friends."

Sarah and Matt first met in 2008 when they auditioned for High School Musical 3: Senior Year and starred together in the Disney Channel movie Geek Charming in 2011.

Sarah attended last night's Emmys without a date, which seemed to confirm the split, but it's Matt's recent Twitter activity that now looks like he could have been talking about a break up. Check out some of Matt's recent tweets:

This is so sad. We were so excited for Suri Cruise when we heard that she got her very own dog when she and mom Katie Holmes moved out to California a few weeks ago.

The mother-daughter duo barely had time to settle into their new Calabasas estate before the rescue pup went missing.

According to TMZ, Katie and Suri were visiting a friend in Beverly Hills on Sunday and had their new Chihuahua Honey (who also responds to her pre-rescue name, Maple) with them. Honey's collar had apparently been removed because Suri was swimming with her and shortly after, the dog snuck out the front gate and went missing.

Katie is doing everything she can to help spread the word and hopefully reunite Suri with her dog. The actress issued a pet Amber alert to notify residents in the area and has posted over 50 flyers in the area offering a $1000 reward for her return.

Despite the fact that she's already got a killer career being herself, Kim Kardashian continues to try to become an actress.

She's already been in 30 Rock and Drop Dead Diva, and now the starlet, who's worth around $40 million, is starring in 2 Broke Girls...because no one knows what it's like to struggle to make ends meet as a waitress like Kim K.

The 33-year-old shared the news of her latest guest TV spot on Twitter yesterday.

Sometimes, you just can't win.

Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska shared this adorable pic of her daughter Aubree at the airport and fans immediately started freaking out.

To us, it just looks like a cute pic of the little one getting ready to head to NYC for some Teen Mom stuff, but some Instagram users saw it very differently.

People immediately started attacking Chelsea accusing her of shaving the back of Aubree's hair. Yes, Chelsea is really into hair and makeup and all of that stuff...and even put some hair chalk on Aubree recently. Still, we do not think she would do something so drastic to her daughter.

"Are you serious ? she's a f**king CHILD !!!!! why tf would you shave half if [sic] her f**king hair," one user commented. Others came to Chelsea's defense saying first of all, it doesn't even look shaved (we totally agree) and second of all, Chelsea is a good mom whether she shaved her daughter's hair or not.

We still can't see anything that even remotely resembles a buzz on the back. Plus, this pic of Aubree in the hair and makeup chair once she arrived in NYC shows that she clearly has her full head of hair.

Miley Cyrus stunned everyone at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night when a homeless man accepted her award on her behalf. But, if her good pal Katy Perry had her way, it might not of went down that way.

The former twerking queen phoned in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show shortly after the show to spill some deets about her awards show date. During their convo she revealed that right after Katy met Jesse at the VMAs, she tried to get him drunk.

"She thought he was, like, my boyfriend or something. So she was like, 'You want a drink?'" Miley dished. "I'm like this kid has to give a speech!," she said laughing. "Katy, please don't get Jesse drunk right now."

Miley apparently asked Jesse which celeb he really wanted to meet that night, and he told her that he thought Katy was cool. Obviously Miley arranged that meet and greet for him.

We're pretty sure Jesse had the best night ever that night, too. (Other than Blue Ivy, of course.) He got all kinds of attention afterwards for his powerful homelessness awareness speech. You can watch that here.

Miley revealed that Jesse got to keep her moonman award. Oh, and they went out for burgers afterwards.

You'd think that 5 Seconds of Summer would have plenty of game when it comes to using pick-up lines, but you might be wrong. In a recent interview with MTV, Luke Hemmings let fans in on his go-to line and...well...we don't get it. Luke shared this corny gem: "How much does a polar bear weigh?"

Turns out, just enough to break the ice. Groan. Oh, guys. It's a good thing you're cute.

The 5SOS guys also played a little game of "My First Time" with 4Music recently and it's not quite as sexy as it sounds. Have a listen at some of their "firsts," like albums and concerts. What? No first kiss dish? Sadface.

As for some new music from the guys, Ashton told Billboard: "We definitely would like to have another album out there some time next year. We'll start working on it and see what happens. We've been on tour for a few months, so we've just been playing lots of tour and doing lots of promo. We haven't had much time to get back in the studio at the moment."

He added, "I think when you're on the road you've got to just live out what's happening, then when you get back to the studio you've got a lot to write about. I don't want to write the same album again, so I go out there and see what life has for me, and then I'll go back and I'll write about it. We've got a lot of time coming up, actually, to write and record again, so I'm really looking forward to that 'cause I'm feeling like I miss that at the moment."

Kylie Jenner utilized THE most over-used expression on Instagram when she captioned this photo "long hair, don't care."

We DO care, though, because we love her hair long! The reality star has been experimenting with her hair a lot lately since she chopped her locks last year.

In case you missed any of it, here's a quick recap of what she's done over the past few months: blonde tips, green tips, turquoise highlights/tips, back to black, buzzed the back of her head and dyed the buzzed part blue.

Some of those looks we liked and others...well, not so much. Then this pic popped up and all was right in the world again (even if the long locks are just extensions).

We think it's cool that Kylie likes to experiment with her look, but how gorgeous does she look with that long, dark hair?

Kylie was just rocking the extensions for a PacSun photo shoot, but we're REALLY hoping it made her miss the look because it's so stunning on her.

Demi Lovato has had such an amazing personal journey and it's given her plenty of perspective that, lucky for fans, she's happy to share. We were in love with her style at the recent MTV Video Music Awards and she was definitely feeling confident about her cleavage baring, sexy red dress.

Demi took to Instagram to give a roundup of her past VMA looks and said she had "mixed emotions" and felt "sad."

She explained, "This picture makes me feel so many mixed emotions.. I remember the day I wore the dress in the very first picture. I remember asking for spanx to flatten my stomach because I use to feel so heavy and 'fat.' Now looking at this picture, you can clearly see my hip bones. It makes me sad because I wasted so many years ashamed of my body when I could've been living the happy and healthy life I live today."

Demi continued: "It TRULY just goes to show you that your perceptions can lie to you. OR they can make you learn to enjoy life. Fortunately looking at the picture of myself in the red dress yesterday, I not only feel so grateful for the love and support I've had from fans, friends and family, but... I also feel.. beautiful. I'm so excited to live my life the way I deserve to and to the complete fullest. Thank you guys once again.. I'm so thankful for my Lovatics. I love you... And never forget that staying strong is worth it."
