Ed Sheeran's new album is pretty spectacular, and some of that awesomeness is thanks to One Direction's Harry Styles. The guitar he bought for Ed was actually used to create one of our favorite tunes on X.

Welsh song writer Amy Wadge said in a recent interview that she wrote the song, "Thinking Out Loud," for Ed in 20 minutes, and she used Harry's gift to Ed to create it. She revealed that Ed was instantly taken with the tune and after returning from a meal with his parents, they started writing the track...it was two o'clock in the morning.

Ed's new album, (pronounced "multiply"), had already been completed at the time, yet the track found its way on there. Amy also revealed that she felt emotional when she heard him perform the song, and we can totally see why.

Is Robin Thicke a total d**k ? Apparently most of the Twitterverse thinks so.

The "Blurred Lines" singer was participating in a Twitter Q&A with VH1 where users were asked to submit their questions to Robin using the hashtag #AskThicke, but it got super awkward when most of the submitted "questions" were actually insults.

Many people commented on how creepy his "Get Her Back" song and video are, which are supposed to be a tribute to his estranged wife Paula Patton, but seem pretty stalkerish to us.

Everyone loves the Kids' Choice Awards, because they are the messiest, silliest and slimiest show that hands out hardware to our favorite celebs. The 2014 KCAs went down in March, but you don't have to wait until next year to get your slime on. Nickelodeon is holding their first ever Kids' Choice Sports awards this July, hosted by Michael Strahan. If you can't get enough of the World Cup or just love looking at soccer hotties, this is the show for you. Kids Choice Sports will bring together the biggest stars and best athletes for a night of slimy summer fun, honoring categories such as "King of Swag," "Clutch Player of the Year" and even an award recognizing the fans, "Smells Like Team Spirit." Plus, country cuties Florida Georgia Line will take the stage for a special performance.

Since the KCAs are known for slime-tastic stunts, we can only imagine what sort of crazy, record-breaking feats the athletes attending Kids' Choice Sports will deliver this summer. Slime bungee jumping? A slime cannon? Parachuting into a pool of slime? We'll have to watch Nickelodeon on July 17 to find out.

Fifteen-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes set a major Billboard record this week. His debut single "Life of the Party" broke into the Top 25 of the Hot 100, making him the youngest artist in history to debut in the Top 25 with his first single.

Haven't heard of Shawn Mendes? You must not be on Vine. Shawn has over 2.7 million Vine followers watching his six-second covers. His Vines and YouTube videos caught the attention of Warner Music, and he was signed to Island Records in May.

Now, Shawn is releasing songs and breaking records. "Life of the Party" sold nearly 150,000 copies in its debut week without any radio promotion, making him No. 1 on iTunes and landing him at No. 24 on this week's Hot 100. This makes Shawn the youngest artist to debut a single in the Top 25 since Justin Bieber released "One Less Lonley Girl" in 2009.

However, "OLLG" wasn't the Biebs first single, making Shawn the youngest artist to debut in the Top 25 with his or her first single ever, and it all started on a mobile app. Now that's just crazy cool. Watch one of his Vines below.

Who knew Lucy Hale auditioned for Fifty Shades of Grey?!

The Pretty Little Liars star opened up about her audition for the leading role of Anastasia Steele in the steamy novel-turned-flick, telling MTV News it was "awkward."

"It was unlike any audition I have ever done before in my life," Lucy said. "It was like a two-page monologue of dialogue of exactly what you would think it would be. Very uncomfortable, but it was one of those things where you sort of had to go for it or you sort of looked lame."

Lucy said the audition was "racy" and definitely would "not want [her] grandmother to watch" her audition tape, but tried out for the role because she wanted to do something risky and different than her character, Aria, on PLL.

"It took me out of my comfort zone," she continued. The role ended up going to Dakota Johnson, who caught a ton of flack from die hard fans of the book when news was first released she landed the part. Some even started an online protest because she didn't look enough like the character they envisioned. That chatter settled down once photos of her on set were released with a completely different look.

Kristen Stewart, Nina Dobrev and Lily Collins were among other actresses rumored to have tried out for the role as well.

Fifty Shades of Grey is set to hit theaters February 13, 2015.

Everyone was a little confused last week when Selena Gomez posted a selfie in an orange bikini declaring in the caption that it was brave.

What's really so brave about that? Is it because orange is totally out this summer and she was committing a fashion faux pas? Or is it just being in a bikini and posting a pic of your body? Neither explanation really warrants giving Sel an official bravery badge.

When former model Bethany Townsend posted her bikini photo, however, there was no denying the incredible courage she was showing. Bethany suffers from Crohn's disease and endured a series of surgeries and various medications to try to get it under control. In 2010, her bowel burst and she had to be fitted with two colostomy bags. As expected, it was quite an adjustment both physically and mentally.

"Finally after three and a half years, I decided that my colostomy bags shouldn't control my life. So when I went to Mexico with my husband in December last year I finally showed I wasn't ashamed," she wrote on the Crohn's and Colitis UK Facebook page, along with the full-body photo.

The pic already has over 200,000 likes and 17,000 shares. Commenters have also been flooding the page, praising Bethany for her bravery and thanking her for putting this picture out there. Many even shared their own photos with their bags proudly on display.

One fellow sufferer's comment, however, really stood out for us. In one simple statement, she captured the essence of the entire thread. "Isn't it amazing that we can have most of our guts removed and still show more 'Guts' than everyone else combined," she wrote.

We couldn't have said it any better ourselves...and yes, it absolutely is.

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna might be tied at number one for throwing not-so-subtle shade.

Following her BET Awards acceptance speech for Best Rapper, which sent rumors flying she dissed Iggy Azalea in it, the "Pills N Potions" rapper tweeted that what she said was not what it seemed.

"The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!," Nicki wrote. "I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS."

"I fell in love with Lauryn Hill b/c I knew she was the author behind those amazingly profound and articulated songs on the MisEducation," she continued. "It's the same reason I have a different level of respect for Missy. I know she's a writer and a producer. Women MUST aspire for more. I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud. That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up & coming females to do that."

Rumors have flown that a ghostwriter, possibly even T.I., has been writing Iggy's lyrics. Hence, part two of the subtle shade.

When Nicki hit the stage at the BET Awards to accept her award, which Iggy was also nominated for, she said, "What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it...No, no shade. No, no no shade."

In spite of the shade, don't expect any beef between these too any time soon. After twitter blew up about Nicki's speech, Iggy wrote on Instagram Tuesday, "Generally speaking I'm unbothered by anything that 'happened' at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time."

"Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life & those who don't can't get any more of my time. I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I'm still not 100% sure even exist & don't matter. just let it go."

Sorry ladies...Tyler Blackburn is taken.

The Pretty Little Liars star couldn't stop smooching his girlfriend when they hit the beach Monday during their romantic trip to Maui, with the duo packing on the PDA on the shore and in the ocean.

Clad in black printed swim trunks, Tyler showed off his chiseled chest as he leaned in to kiss the mystery blonde passionately while they shared a bench on the sand.

Although the PLL hottie didn't post a shot of himself with his ladylove on the beach, he did post a shot on Instagram Monday of three girls laying on towels baring their butts in bikinis with the caption, "Vacation."

Shay Mitchell and Ashley Benson are also on vacay in Hawaii, where they were spotted giggling in the ocean before emerging in their bikinis wrapped in white towels.

There's someone just as crazy as Miley Cyrus joining her Bangerz tour. Guess who?!

It's not her ex Liam Hemsworth, her pal Justin Bieber, or even her country music singing dad Billy Ray, so don't worry. Lily Allen is set to join the twerker for the fall leg of her raunchy-fun tour.

To support her latest album Sheezus, which she dropped back in May, Lily will hit the road on her first North American tour in five years this September. We're sure she'll have a blast on the road with Miley. The girl floats on wieners and humps bananas while performing...need we say more?

We know that Jaden Smith keeps up with the Kardashians pretty much wherever they go. For starters, he is frequently hanging out at the family's Calabasas home, where rumored girlfriend Kylie Jenner lives, which could be expected.

He also attended Kim Kardashian's wedding in Italy and was most recently spotted at Kourtney Kardsahian's new house for North West's first birthday party.

Surely, they must spend their fair share of time at Jaden's house, too, right? Kylie probably does, but a new report by Star magazine claims that Kendall Jenner is not welcome in the Smith household.

"Jada took an instant dislike to Kendall; she's got a rude mouth on her," a source tells the mag. "The way she spoke to Jada's housekeeper was atrocious and arrogant." Kendall - atrocious and arrogant?!

Apparently, what really put Jada over the edge was Kendall rolling her eyes and huffing when the housekeeper asked her if she wanted sweetener for her tea. Seems like a fair enough question, no? The report goes on to say that Jaden actually had to tell Kylie that Kendall couldn't come over anymore.

We can't imagine Kendall acting like that. At all. They must have housekeepers or other assistants at their house, too, shouldn't she have more respect than that? GossipCop did some digging and a source tells them that the mag's story is "far from any truth whatsoever." Good.

Then again, with all of the snakes that Jaden has slithering around the house, we wouldn't blame Kendall if she actually CHOOSES not to hang out over there.

There are lots of different egg-cracking techniques. There is the one-handed egg crack, the two-handed egg crack, the countertop tap, the side of the bowl tap, the knife tap and naturally, there is even an As Seen on TV product that promises the perfect crack.

We happen to prefer the "slam against the closest object and hope for the best" approach, but it's all a matter of personal preference. Basically, the goal is to not end up with any shell fragments and to keep the egg and yolk nice and neatly together.

In case any of the above strategies haven't worked for you, there is now another option and it seems to be foolproof. The catch? You have to be 60 feet underwater, wearing your scuba gear and you've gotta have a taste for a raw, salty egg. Ew.

All right, so this particular egg is not going to ever be eaten, but it's still super cool to watch. The pressure helps the egg hold its shape as it floats around in the water and it's really neat to see, although it is a little bit gross-looking now that we think about it. In fact, we're going to stick to scrambled eggs for a little while after watching this one.

Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" music video caused a lot of controversy. In fact, the final product actually had to be modified because the content was deemed insensitive to Muslims.

"At 01.15 into the video a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word 'Allah' which is the Arabic word for God," Shazad Iqbal wrote in a Change.org petition. "Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of God) engulfs the believer and the word God in flames."

As a result, the pendant was removed from the man's neck in a modified version of the video. It seems, however, that "Dark Horse" has offended more than just one religious group.

In a new lawsuit filed against the singer, Christian rapper Flame claims that Katy not only ripped off his 2008 track "Joyful Noise" for her controversial single, he also alleges that she tarnished the song with "witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery."

We have to say, we listened to both songs back-to-back and the beat does sound kind of similar. Check 'em out and tell us what you think.

If Beyonce was trying to make us forget about ElevatorGate and those rumors of marital problems between her and Jay-Z, this isn't the best way to do it.

While performing at the Cincinnati leg of their On the Run tour Saturday, Bey changed the lyrics to one song to seemingly call out her husband for cheating. While singing "Resentment", she changed the line "Been ridin' with you six years" to "Been ridin' with you 12 years / Why did I deserve to be treated this way?" and also added "She ain't even half of me. That b**ch will never be me."

Twelve years is how long the power couple and parents to Blue Ivy have been together. But as soon as buzz began spreading about Bey's possible jab at Jay, she was quick to do damage control, posting happy family photos of herself, Jay and Blue on her blog from a recent outing to the Sugar Factory in Brooklyn.

Every social media site is plagued by their own group of obnoxious rich people whose sole purpose in life seems to be making "peasants" feel bad about themselves. Come to think of it, there were probably obnoxious, ostentatious posters on MySpace way back in the day.

Now, Snapchat has their own group of rich kids and their attitudes are even more atrocious than any wealthy person's in-your-face Instagram posts. We know, that's a pretty strong statement, especially with people like itslavishb**ch and Instagram's "Playboy King" still posting up a storm.

Miley Cyrus says she can't be stopped, but if some parents succeed, she will be. Miley has an upcoming NBC TV special set to be aired on July 6, but now 'rents are blowing their lids, demanding her show be axed, and not shown on the station.

The Parents Television Council reportedly believes that Miley should pull the show, or reschedule the program and limit it to mature audiences. They see the show as, "wildly inappropriate for children and families."

Sucky for them, Miley just dropped a sneak peek video showing footage. It doesn't look too raunchy to us. Check it out below. What do you think?

Something is going down in young Hollywood. Demi Lovato just did the ultimate BFF no-no, and unfollowed Selena Gomez on Twitter. Burn.

What's even juicier than that, is that Demi even posted an in-your-face meme, that was SO directed at Selena. "Swimming away from your bulls**t...bye, b**ch," the picture read. The anti-bullying singer quickly deleted it, but not before all of us got a peep.

So, what did Selena do? We all know this is how Demi gets rid of her toxic friends. She did the same exact thing to Miley Cyrus a few months ago. We think all of this smells of Justin Bieber...but who are we to assume? What do you think went down between these two former pals? Chime in.

What breakup? Last week, rumors were swirling that Britney Spears had broken up with longtime boyfriend David Lucado. A report by X17Online alleged that they had called it quits and used the fact that Brit was spotted out shopping sans David (they're almost always together) to back their claim.

We have to admit, we were pretty bummed to even hear any sort of speculation that they'd split because we really love them together.

Fortunately, the solo shopping trip was just because David was out of town. Seriously, though, would it really have been SO bad if he just didn't feel like shopping that day?

Either way, the pop star just put the rumors to rest once and for all thanks to this sweet poolside pic with her man. "Hola from Spears Beach aka mi casa," she captioned the photo, which also shows off the amazing mountain view from her beautiful backyard.

Britney currently lives in Thousand Oaks, CA but has been splitting her time between the Los Angeles suburb and Sin City, where she gets to hang out in her plush penthouse in between her 'Piece of Me' shows at Planet Hollywood.

Media reports ran rampant this morning that Chris Colfer was leaving Glee, after the actor tweeted that he was exiting the show.

"Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly...," he tweeted Thursday.

The problem was, Chris didn't tweet about his departure...a hacker did. After the tweet stirred up a ton of chatter on the Twitterverse, Chris's manager told the Hollywood Reporter the Glee star's Twitter account had been hacked and he wasn't leaving the show.

20th Century Fox Television also confirmed that Chris has not been "let go" from the hit Fox episodic, telling the mag in a statement, "We've been alerted that Chris Colfer's Twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."

The tweet has since been deleted. Whew.

If anyone knows how to make the most out of a vacation, it's Nina Dobrev.

After wining and dining in St. Tropez with her mom and a couple of celeb BFFs, the Vampire Diaries star hit Switzerland, and now she's enjoying the sights and sounds of Bali.

"A little slice of heaven ... #bali," Nina wrote on Instagram Thursday, showing off a shot of a poolside cabana surrounded by billowy curtains. She followed that up with a photo of a mystery man hanging out on a cliff that overlooked the ocean.


Last week, the actress shared several stunning snaps from her St. Tropez getaway, including a picturesque canal shot, a pic with her lookalike mom and a shot of Gossip Girl alum Jessica Szohr sipping wine on a dock.

Then, Nina headed to Switzerland, where she got fake attacked by an animated trashcan and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast with views of the ocean.

Talk about a lucky girl.

When celeb worlds collide...Harry Styles reportedly was spotted hanging out with Mick Jagger earlier this week, which is pretty amazing considering the One Direction star is often compared to Mick. Oh to be a fly on the wall during their hang.

While no pics of this magic bromantic meetup exist, rumors are a-buzzin' that Harry and Mick hung out in Stockholm on Tuesday, after Harry went to a Rolling Stones concert.

A source told The Sun (via Sugarscape): Harry and Mick "arrived back at the Grand Hotel at midnight and took a pew in the bar." As these things go, we need photo evidence or it never happened.
