What happened when 12 Westboro Baptist Church members planned to protest outside a high school in northwest Washington D.C.? They were greeted by hundreds of students counter-protesting them.

Last week, the school's principal came out as gay to students during a Pride celebration, and it sparked the church's protest plan. Holding signs that read, "We are Wilson High School," and "Love Always Wins," students from Wilson High School and other nearby schools marched outside of the school for a peaceful counter-protest on Monday, June 9. They were joined by another several hundreds of community people, too.

"We kind of took it together to be proud of who we are," student Aiden Parisi told NBC, "and be happy that what we're doing is making an impact, that obviously this group has to come protest us."

The students planned their counter-protest last week after Westboro announced that they would protest the school's June 4 Pride Day event. The Principal Pete Cahall came out to his students during that event.

"My announcement probably didn't lessen their enthusiasm to be here today, but we're all about acceptance, love, and accepting people for who they are," Pete said during the students' protest.

These guys aren't the only ones to stand up against the Westboro Baptist Church group. Country singer Brad Paisley called them out after they picketed one of his shows. Read about that here.

When celebrities party hard in Hollywood, they usually come stumbling out of the club. In Jessica Simpson's case, however, she actually stumbled her way INTO the club.

The blonde beauty looked dazed and confused as she exited her SUV and looked like she needed a little bit of assistance getting from point A to point B.

According to TMZ, Jess' driver made a Jack in the Box run while she and her fiance Eric Johnson were inside the club. We don't think Weight Watchers would necessarily approve of that particular late night snack, but you can't really argue with the way Jess looks.

The 33-year-old mother of two took a lot of heat for the weight she gained during her pregnancies. After a 60-70 pound weight loss, the fashion designer showed off her slimmed-down figure on her Instagram page last month. Looks like Jess definitely got the last laugh.

As for last night, we can't fault her for wanting to let her hair down and have a little fun. She wasn't driving, she wasn't dancing on any tables and this is NOT something she does all the time...or hardly even at all.

We can't believe that this happened again. After two 12-year-old girls stabbed their friend 19 times last week, there's another report of a Slenderman inspired stabbing and this time, the teen stabbed her own mother.

A 13-year-old Ohio girl who's a fan of the fictional horror character stabbed her mother multiple times while wearing a mask. "I came home one night from work and she was wearing a white mask. She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves and the mask," the mother told WLTV News. "I got the feeling she was playing a role. She was someone else during the attack."

The victim, whose face, neck and back were cut, says her daughter has always been dark and has mental issues. "We found things she had written and she had made reference to Slenderman," her mom explained.

We really hope this is last Slenderman attack we hear about and this doesn't become a disturbing new trend among teenagers.

This is so sad. Two people lost their lives and several others were injured while trying to help a woman retrieve her cell phone that had fallen into an open-pit toilet in Xinxiang City, Henan province, China.

Apparently, after she dropped the phone, her husband tried to jump in and retrieve it, but he lost consciousness due to a lack of oxygen inside the cesspool (gasses from sewage waste can displace oxygen). When his mother tried to jump in to help him, she lost consciousness as well.

It seems that there was a domino effect that occurred and each time someone jumped in to help one of the victims, they too needed rescuing.

"The smell was too strong. I lost consciousness before I could see anything," one eyewitness told the South China Morning Post.

It took emergency responders over an hour to arrive on scene and while the husband and mother both had pulses when they were pulled out of the hole, they passed away shortly after.

Several people who jumped in to try to save the victims also had to be rescued by neighbors who found a rope and used it to pull them to safety.

After all was said and done, six people were pulled out of the pit and some still remain hospitalized, two of them in intensive care. One of those still in intensive care is the owner of the phone.

Casper Smart is making out well in his split from Jennifer Lopez.

The "I Luh Ya Papi" crooner's ex-boyfriend gets to hold on to quite a few cars post break-up, including two motorcycles, a jeep and a Dodge Ram truck, according to TMZ.

While we won't see Casper rolling around in Bentleys, flying private jets or parlaying around J.Lo's mansions any time soon...that's still not a bad deal.

According to the site though, Casper won't be getting any cash to help him as he moves on, with TMZ reporting that he didn't ask for any either.

The star-studded privileges the dancer was once accustomed to by being J.Lo's boyfriend are probably gone as well. Chances are slim we'll see the dancer on some of the big red carpets, fashion shows and exclusive A-list parties he frequented with the Parker star on his arm.

Nevertheless, he has his fully loaded fleet of vehicles to help him sleep at night.

Who does Justin Bieber look to when he's dealing with racist videos being leaked to the public? G-O-D.

According to TMZ, the Biebs got baptized again over the weekend, to wash away his sins. He has reportedly been studying Bible passages with Pastor Carl Lentz for a week, since those n-word videos were released, and thought it was necessary.

Justin didn't pull a Kim Kardashian and rent out a castle church or anything, he actually got the whole thing done in a private bathtub. Why a tub? He supposedly eyed a few holy places to get baptized at, but his cover was blown every time. He thought the private church's tub would do.

Does this mean we're going to see a new Bieber? Let's hope?

She might be able to hang out with Jaden Smith and his all-white bat costume, but 16-year-old Kylie Jenner is NOT allowed to hang out with Justin Bieber. According to In Touch, Kylie was shunned from the Biebs after that infamous Floyd Mayweather boxing trip to Las Vegas a few months ago.

"Bruce had thought Justin was hanging out with Kendall, his 18-year-old daughter, with Kylie just tagging along and he was fine with that. But when he learned that Bieber had taken Kylie to Las Vegas... he hit the roof," a source explained, "and immediately called [estranged wife] Kris Jenner, fuming."

Don't think Kylie didn't hear about it, either. ''Bruce then phoned Kylie, forbidding her to date Bieber ever again bluntly declaring her doesn't want her influence by his drug use and bad behavior," the source added.

"Kylie went crying to Momma, but Kris, who's usually all about the publicity, shocked her by siding with Bruce. She totally agrees Justin's bad news.''

Around the time of Kylie's Vegas trip, there were rumors she and Justin were a thing. That talk seemed to fizzle when he was spotted with her friend Yovanna Venutra afterwards.

Miley Cyrus wanted to make sure to tell Selena Gomez F-U during her show in Milan on Sunday. The twerker sang her tune "FU" with a fan-made Selena cardboard cutout.

As if that's not all entertaining enough, Miley threw "Sel" back into the audience after serenading her. Of course, the whole moment was caught on tape.

While it might all be innocent and crazy fun, we can't help but wonder if there's beef between the two ladies. They both did supposedly date Nick Jonas. There was talk Selena didn't like Miley's friendship with her then boyfriend Justin Bieber, too.

We've got to say we're loving the unglammed, au naturel version of Kim K. She should ditch the face paint more often and we're not the only ones who think so.

Kim's makeup artist has revealed that the rapper prefers his wifey fresh faced as well. "Kanye's not afraid to say what he likes," Rob Scheppy has said. "He definitely likes the less-is-more look." When she looks this radiant, we can't blame him!

Is Harry Styles getting spiritual? Harry was spotted wearing a red string bracelet at a recent concert, leading to buzz that it's more than just a fashion accessory.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed Harry was wearing what looked like a Kabbalah bracelet at One Direction's Wembley Stadium concert on Sunday, but does it mean he's practicing the spiritual ways of celebs like Madonna, Ariana Grande and Mick Jagger?

So many brides hope that it won't rain on their big day and for this couple who got married in Bend, Oregon, that certainly would have been a well-founded fear.

It didn't rain on their parade, though. Well, not in the literal sense. Instead, they had to deal with another natural element, that is arguably much worse than a little bit of rain.

Just hours before they said their "I do's" a wildfire started burning just miles away from the ceremony site. If you don't live in an area where wildfires are a big thing, consider yourself lucky. For the rest of us, we know that a couple miles might as well be a couple of feet with the way these things move. Plus, the smoke and ash alone are enough to make your day pretty miserable.

This couple didn't let that stop the ceremony, though. "Right as the bride was about to walk down, a firetruck came in sirens blaring and told the bride we had to evacuate," the photographer wrote on his Facebook page. "In tears, her father announced to all the guests that we had to move the wedding. Incredibly, the fireman then told us we could have the ceremony and then had to leave."

In the end, they moved the ceremony to a park nearby and ended up with some of the most incredible wedding photos ever.

This has no right working out as well as it does. We have no idea how Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" and the Reba McEntire (you read that right) song "Fancy" can line up so well, but...they just do.

We admit, we're suckers for a fun mashup and this one itches a scratch we didn't even know we had. While Iggy's "Fancy" lyrics are seared into our brain (and that's not a bad thing), we're kind of digging how the country Reba vibe mixes things up a bit.

It's not like this Reba and Iggy mashup is going to become our summer jam or anything, but it's a fun and twangy diversion.

Not everyone has been thrilled that Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are taking the Hamptons this summer for another E! reality show spinoff, and it seems Kourtney may not be making friends with some locals for supposedly not leaving a tip after lunch.

According to PageSix, the pregnant star was given a free lunch at The Driver's Seat in Southampton Friday and failed to leave a gratuity on her meal. "Local servers are hard-working people who support their families and live on tips," a source said.

But maybe she just had a case of pregnancy brain, because apparently, it was all a misunderstanding. "The meal was comped and production left a generous tip," her rep says.

Later that same night, Kourt hit up Southampton Social Club, where she paid for her meal and left a tip, so clearly she's not a Scrooge when it comes to picking up the check.

The 35-year-old confirmed her third pregnancy with Scott Disick on the season premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on Sunday.

We know Katy Perry enjoyed a tropical vacay last week. In fact, she shared a beautiful photo of herself laying in the sun showing off her incredible bikini bod.

Of course, every single male in her group of 5 million Instagram followers was pretty happy about the pic, but did she have a special someone there enjoying the "view" firsthand?

Since they were spotted together at Coachella, Katy has been rumored to be dating DJ Diplo. They were spotted in New York City together shortly after and a source told People magazine that they were "very affectionate, very lovey-dovey."

Then, the whole thing just seemed to sort of fizzle out. Maybe it was because Katy started her Prismatic World Tour, which is undoubtedly keeping her pretty busy. This new pic she posted during a break from the tour, though, rekindled the DJ Diplo romance rumors.

"Swaying on the hammock under mango trees, fresh freckles on my face, everything irie," she captioned the pic. Shortly after, Diplo posted a pic to his Instagram account of his feet in a hammock that had the same exact pattern as Katy's.

Coincidence? We think not. Oh, and there's also the fact that he deleted the pic pretty quickly after people started making the connection. Check the two pics below and tell us what you think.

Let's face it, nobody really likes sitting through high school graduation ceremonies. Even a lot of the graduates themselves dread the day of sitting in the hot sun, listening to speeches from people you'll never see again, except for on Facebook.

Still, most people do it because it's a big accomplishment and it's a good excuse to throw a party afterwards. The Lohans are not most people, though.

When 17-year-old Cody graduated from a Long Island high school, there were a couple of family members that were noticeably absent from the celebration. Sister Lindsay Lohan stayed in London, where she has most recently been living. Then again, we know Lindsay sometimes has trouble getting flights, so maybe it was just a logistical glitch.

As for Cody's father, Michael Lohan Sr., he apparently just couldn't make it work. He tells TMZ he had to skip Cody's commencement because his son was hospitalized with a high fever and baby mama Kate Major is currently behind bars, so he was between a rock and a hard place.

Despite the circumstances, it looks like Cody still had a pretty good day.

Just when you thought you were the cutest and most artsy BFF out there, Taylor Swift gifts Ed Sheeran the sweetest craft-gift ever. The ginger singer recently showed off his Drake-inspired needlepoint created by Tay, and we're honestly a little jealous of her grandma skills and their friendship.

During a sneak peek of Ed's MTV documentary Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran, the artwork is shown off. He says it was created to commemorate the journey that they have taken together.

"Started from the bottom now we're here," is stitched on the piece, along with a stick figure portrait of the two of them. She made sure to cite her source, stitching "DRAKE," too. She put Ed's favorite, personal quote, "the struggle is real," on it as well.

This isn't the only thing Taylor's made for Ed. He recently revealed she makes a kicka** applepie.

Well, this is awkward. Visitors to the Lotte Shopping Center in Busan, South Korea were greeted by this Spider-Man statue, who was a little too excited to see everyone. To make matters worse, he was "hanging out" over a children's playground.

After they received a number of complaints about the statue (hmm..can't imagine why) the center thought long and hard about it before making the decision to bring Spider-Man and his boner off the side of the building.

Apparently, the artist was given the option of modifying the statue, but it just went against his artistic grain because the whole idea was to show that even a superhero was susceptible to the "natural phenomenons" that occur in the morning. Good morning to you, too, Spider-Man....

But...what happened on cold days, then?! That being the case, we can't really get into that whole showing natural bodily functions on fictional characters thing. The last thing we need is for one of our favorite Disney princesses to get her period on the day she finally marries her prince charming.

Jennifer Lopez is keeping her head up following her split from Casper Smart...and wearing some seriously tight pants while she's at it.

The "I Luh Ya Papi" crooner clowned around with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show Monday, popping up for a battle of tight white pants, with the singer going head to head with the late night host to prove who has the tightest pants in town.

"Everybody's talking 'bout my tight pants, I got my tight pants, I got my tight pants on," Jimmy sang, hitting the stage in the tight white pants and striped shirt.

J.Lo soon showed him up though when she danced onto the stage in a cropped stripe turtleneck that showed off her killer abs, tight white pants of her own and the same haircut. And she came to win.

"Listen up you little b*tch. You better hide your wife, you better hide your kids, 'cause I will cut you...I'm the only one that can wear tight white pants in this town," J. Lo said before rushing Jimmy off the stage and showing off her famous derriere.

Let's face it, it's tough to beat J.Lo in a tight pair of pants of any kind.

Raven Symone...is that you?

The actress debuted her colorful new hairstyle on Instagram Tuesday, showing off her carefully coiffed locks dyed purple and grey.

"My last Friday in la before I start my life as an #oncampus student! New hair for a new life! #hellyea," she captioned one shot of her 'do, created by LA-based hairstylist Amber Nicholle."@a_nicholle thanks for a bomb color and cut! A few tracks don't hurt, ain't to many tho! Loving my washy purp and grey! Here I come San Fran!"
Prior to her hair transformation, Raven was rocking a bob haircut in her natural color.

"Raven wanted a new look for her journey to San Francisco, so we decided to go with something bold," Amber told us about the assymetrical bob shaved on one side. "She loved the idea of purple hair for summer and can't wait to rock it when she starts her first day at the art academy there."

Talk about getting artistic in the hair department...we're loving it!

No, this wasn't a mistake or a prank or anything of the sort. Taxi Benke proudly posed for his yearbook photo this year and he scored a spot right next to his owner on the 7th grade page.

So, how did it happen? Taxi is 7th grade student Rachel Benke's service dog and he's been by her side for four years, which means yes, going to school with her every day. Sorry, buddy, school can be a drag sometimes - but at least you don't have to do homework.

The work Taxi does do, however, is arguably much more valuable than homework. Rachel has suffered from epileptic seizures since birth and Taxi is trained to spring into action whenever he senses one coming, which is exactly what he did one day when Rachel was out on the school track.

"Her aide was holding Taxi on the side and he just started pulling away from the aide as hard as he could trying to get to Rachel," her mom recounts. When they got Rachel inside, she had a grand mal seizure. "I don't know how Taxi knew this but he wouldn't let anyone near her until the paramedics arrived."

Interestingly enough, Taxi was supposed to be a guide dog, but he failed the training because he is a 'cat distraction problem.' Fortunately, he isn't a student distraction problem and he'll be sitting right by Rachel's side when she starts 8th grade next year.
