Rihanna Throws Up on Stage in Portugal

Filed under:

It's no secret that Rihanna hasn't been feeling 100 percent while on the road, and recently the singer was forced to run off stage because of it.

The Barbadian star was on a Loud tour stop in Lisbon, Portugal over the weekend, and everything seemed to be okay until Rihanna hit the bridge of her hit single, 'What's My Name?.' Then, the Boombox reports, something went awry and she was seen running off the stage in the middle of performing in front of the sold-out crowd.

Later, she explained what happened on Twitter. "Portugal tonight was legendary!!!" she wrote. "I ran off stage to throw up, halfway thru What's My Name ... made it back juuuust in time for Rude Boy."

What a pro! RiRi has had multiple health scares in recent months. In October, she was rushed to the hospital because of the flu and has since suffered bouts of exhaustion. We're hoping the singer gets some R&R soon. Visit the Boombox to watch a video of Rihanna running off the stage during her Lisbon set.

Justin Bieber has filmed a new promo for his Someday fragrance, and now he's asking his fans to co-star in it. Well, sort of.

At Experience.JustinBieberSomeday.com, Beliebers can watch the 17-year-old in an awkward and vague video that shows JB talking about a girl he met and can't get out of his head. "Just wanted to shout out to this girl I saw at Starbucks the other day," he says. "She's like a vision in my mind."

Justin continues to talk about the girl's "blue-brown-hazely eyes," while offering not-so-accurate clothing and height description. But one thing he does remember is her scent.

To take part in the cute promo, fans can upload their photos to show up on the Canadian star's phone in the clip. From there, you can share the video on Facebook, Twitter and via email.

Trust us, there's no limit to the fun you can have with this. Share the screen with Justin in your own Someday promo video here.

Chris Colfer is giving back this holiday season by teaming up with Labrador Rescuers of San Diego to help raise money for the cause. Kurt Hummel would be so proud.

The 'Glee' star is currently auctioning off a hand-drawn dog poster, which will be framed and mailed to the person with the winning bid. Chris also drew a picture of a cat, which will be used to raise funds, as well.

"During the Xmas episode I drew some pet pictures on set for a friend and now they're up for auction!" the 21-year-old tweeted.

The poster is up on eBay now with a high bid of $1,000. There are still four days left in the auction, so we expect the poster will fetch even more by Saturday.

The mission of Labrador Rescuers is to "rescue, rehabilitate and re-home stray, abandoned or unwanted Labrador Retrievers into loving and caring homes." The organization also provides pet owners with education in order to ensure the proper care of their rescued labs.

What a great cause! Visit eBay to check out the progress of the auction, and find out more information about the organization at LabradorRescuers.org.

Darren Criss is giving back once again. The 'Glee' star performed his second-annual concert for Toys for Tots on Sunday, after announcing a last-minute secret show at Joe's Pub in New York City.

Just five hours before performing, Darren made the show announcement on Twitter, and, as you can imagine, the 100 tickets for the show soon sold out. To gain entry, the first 100 fans needed to bring a new, unwrapped toy that cost under $15, as well as $10 cash. In return, those fans received tickets and an exclusive concert poster.

During the set, Darren played 'Teenage Dream' and his rendition of 'Part of Your World' from 'The Little Mermaid,' as well as a cover of Bob Dylan's 'New Morning' with his brother and Freelance Whales member Chuck Criss. The duo also sings the song on the forthcoming 'Chimes of Freedom' compilation honoring Dylan and Amnesty International.

Darren also performed 'Jealousy,' a song from his 2010 'Human' EP, but when he lost track of the lyrics, he humorously asked that the audience restart their cameras for YouTube. Watch a clip from his performance below, and get more info on Toys for Tots on its official website.

David Archuleta is taking a break from his music career to embark on a two-year Mormon mission. According to Billboard, 20-year-old made the announcement at the Salt Lake City, Utah stop of his My Kind of Christmas Tour.

In a video from the show, the 'American Idol' runner-up said to the crowd, "I would like to make a special announcement: that I've chosen to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."

The audience cheered for the singer, and he immediately got emotional before going on to explain why he felt the mission was so important. "It's not because someone told me I was supposed to do it and not because I no longer want to do music anymore," he said. "It's because it's what I feel I need to do next in my life."

LDS missionaries are unpaid and follow a strict set of rules. They must adhere to a dress code, and have a set daily schedule. They are generally allowed two phone calls per year -- a call to their family on Christmas Day and Mother's Day. Guys are allowed to go after their 19th birthdays, while girls can go after they turn 21. There are currently 50,000 missionaries serving in over countries all over the world.

David continued, "It's the same feeling that I've always tried to follow in my life -- the feeling that's allowed me to have the opportunities I've had, the challenges and the blessings, too. And I've learned to trust that feeling and answer when it calls. That's the reason why I know I have to do this in my life."

Greyson Chance has a challenge for his fans in this brand new video for Above The Influence's Unwasted Weekend campaign urging teens to spend their weekends doing something creative, instead of wasting them on drugs or alcohol.

Greyson's challenge? Un-Self Portrait. Watch the video, shot at Cambio's studios in L.A., below for more details, but basically he wants you to take a photo of things that represent you, without actually showing yourself in the photo. Sweet idea, right?

"Say you're really into music like me, you might take a picture of your guitar or maybe even your piano," he says. "Mine would probably be all different pictures from me in the studio, pianos, soundboards, computers... because I spend half of my life in the studio."

Post your photo to Flickr, Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook with a caption and tag them #unwastedweekend so Greyson can see them and pick his favorites to share with his fans. We'll post them on Cambio too.

To check out all the other celebs who have participated in the campaign (there are eight challenges so far), including Karmin, Aimee Teegarden and Tristan Wilds, visit the official Unwasted Weekend page.

Cody Simpson, Colbie Caillat, Drake Bell, Greyson Chance, Hanson and Honor Society joined forces with the Salvation Army and Cambio to put on the Rock the Red Kettle concert on December 17th at Universal Citywalk. Before the acts hit the stage that night, Cambio joined them for their soundcheck to talk about their performances and their holiday plans.

Hanson told us that they were excited for their first Rock the Red Kettle performance. They promised to make us all happy by playing fan-favorite 'Mmmbop.' During soundcheck Colbie serenaded the already growing crowd with holiday carols. She admitted that she still gets slightly nervous on stage, but soundchecks help soothe her nerves and prepare her for the performance.

Cody Simpson was nice enough to interrupt his soundcheck to sign a few autographs and talk to the fans who had been waiting for him since that morning. As more girls crowded the stage, Cody was lavished with attention and presents to boot! Cody was glad to be involved in something as important as Rock the Red Kettle.

Greyson Chance was ready to rock as he soundchecked songs from his debut album. Greyson has been a supporter of the Salvation Army for a while, telling us that he would donate old clothes to them as he grew out of them.

Rock the Red Kettle alumni Honor Society were touring with Rock the Red Kettle across the country. Their devotion to the Salvation Army didn't waver, even as it started to rain during their soundcheck.

Drake Bell was all dressed up fo the occasion and rocked out on his guitar. With soundcheck over, the only thing left was the big show. You can watch performances from the concert here.

Justin Bieber let Shawty Mane loose once again, this time while visiting Hot 97.5 in Las Vegas. Host Bootleg Kev sat down with the Canadian superstar, and got him to show off his flow.

"So on Friday I got to interview Justin Bieber, and though he wasn't the best interview giver, I did get him to rap on my show over Biggie's 'Who Shot Ya,'" the DJ wrote on his website.

In a video from the interview, Justin kicked things off slow, but soon found his stride. After dropping rhymes about everything from being "go-getter" to taking life "for granted," he ended with this definitive verse:

"His hand is on my life and my sin just vanished / My filth washes off quick like her fake tan is / I am growing up quick like a grown man is / I'm gonna be set, so will my great grandkids / Swag."

Well, there you go. Check out Justin in action at Hot 97.5 below. How do you think this freestyle compares to the singer's rap over Jay-Z and Kanye's 'Otis' track? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Taylor Swift's Covergirl ad for NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara has been pulled by Procter & Gamble following an inquiry by the National Advertising Division of the Council of Business Bureaus Claims.

But don't worry -- Taylor's not in trouble. According to ABC, the print advertisements featuring the 22-year-old country star have been digitally altered, as noted by lines like "lashes enhanced in post production" or "lashes enhanced in post."

"You can't use a photograph to demonstrate how a cosmetic will look after it is applied to a woman's face and then -- in the mice type -- have a disclosure that says 'okay, not really,'" Andrea Levine, director of the National Advertising Division, told Business Insider.

NAD pressed Covergirl's parent company further, by asking for proof of the claims that its mascara creates "two times more volume" and is "20 percent lighter" than the most expensive mascara.

However, after Procter & Gamble removed the print ads, the regulatory organization has "permanently discontinued all of the challenged claims and the photograph in its advertisement."
