Weddings are expensive. Like, really expensive. And for some girls, spending thousands of dollars on a dress you will wear for one night is not exactly in the budget.Fortunately, H&M has a solution and you can now say yes to the dress for less than $100. Well, $99 to be exact, plus tax and the whole thing...but you get the idea.
A rep for the brand told Huffington Post that the gown was inspired by Hollywood glamour, but has a modern twist and it will be available in stores and online later this month.
H&M isn't the first retailer to offer lower cost wedding dresses. Costco started selling bridal gowns back in 2011, but they were still at a higher price point (starting at $699)--and let's be honest, it's kind of weird to have your wedding dress shoved into the same cart as your hamburgers and three-gallon bucket of M&M's.
We think it's awesome that H&M is offering this budget-friendly alternative for brides, and the dress is actually really cool, but we're hoping they introduce a couple of other styles. Sure, saving money feels amazing, but you know that sinking feeling when you show up to prom and see that some other chick is wearing the same exact dress as you? Obvi, you look WAY better in it than she does, but that doesn't make it suck any less.
