Katy Perry was recently named the most followed celebrity on Twitter, beating out even Justin Bieber and One Direction. But now, KatyKaty Perry was recently named the most followed celebrity on Twitter, beating out even Justin Bieber and One Direction. But now, Katy has accomplished something even more admirable.

She's the most followed person EVER on the social media site.

Reaching 50 million followers over the weekend, Katy became the first person ever to reach that number of followers, making her not just the most followed celebrity, but the most followed Twitter user.

Before she reached the milestone, the "Roar" singer told E! News that having so many followers on Twitter is "terrifying."

"Sometimes I want to post pictures of like really stupid stuff and I'm like 'but I have such a responsibility,'" she joked.

A recent display of her social responsibility happened when Katy spoke out after the Maryland mall shooting in January.

"Is anyone else really sad about the constant stream of shootings and how normal it's becoming to see these headlines on a weekly basis? Scared to go to school? Scared to go to the mall? Scared to go to the movies? Me too," she wrote. "When will there be ACTUAL change? How many more?! You and I both know this is getting embarrassing...My heart goes out to ALL the victims & their families this week. I pray for change."

On this season of Teen Mom 2, there are a lot of moving parts.

Jenelle Evans, for example, is jumping from being married to Courtland Rogers and having an abortion to dating a new man and now being pregnant with his child.

Chelsea Houska is changing career paths and Leah Calvert is finding herself increasingly frustrated with her husband, Jeremy's job, especially as she deals with her daughter Aliannah has a much more difficult road ahead of her than anyone had anticipated.

Kailyn Lowry is also in transition, marrying Javi Marroquin, pregnant with her second child (she has since had the baby) and trying to figure out how she can move to be with her husband without creating an enormous custody battle.

In this sneak peek from Tuesday's episode, we see the tension coming to a head between Kailyn and her ex-boyfriend, Jo Rivera as their custody battle continues to heat up.

At the end of the conversation, Jo lets his temper get the best of him as he makes a mean comment to Kailyn as she walks away.

In fact, if anybody could top Kanye West's proposal to Kim Kardashian, Diddy certainly could give him a run for his money.

Instead, though, when the music mogul decided he wanted to put a ring on it, he seems to have opted for the Insta-proposal instead.

"Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat. !" he captioned the photo of the enormous rock.

Apparently, Diddy's lady love didn't mind that her man popped the question on the social media site. "It's perfect," she replied.

We're guessing that's a "yes," because Casandra was wearing the ring in a pic posted by her pal Keyshia Cole the next day, but she mysteriously captioned the photo "lol," so we're not quite sure what to make of that.

The couple has been dating since 2007.

Taylor Swift had to deal with a stage intruder at her show last night in London...and this time it wasn't Kanye West. According to TMZ and several witnesses at her O2 arena concert, a pretty large man fan made his way past security, on stage and got face-to-face with the singer.Taylor Swift had to deal with a stage intruder at her show last night in London...and this time it wasn't Kanye West.

According to TMZ and several witnesses at her O2 arena concert, a pretty large man fan made his way past security, on stage and got face-to-face with the singer.

The whole altercation reportedly went down when Tay was singing "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and was about to exit the stage. The man suddenly appeared beside her and handed her something. Like a pro, Tay smiled and kept singing (and took what he handed her) while her bodyguards grabbed the man and escorted him off stage.

Luckily, nothing else went down after he was rushed by her guards and the show seemed to be a hit.

This isn't the first weird fan encounter Taylor's had. A man ran on stage during her show in Glendale, Arizona last year and one was arrested in Pittsburgh for threatening her on Facebook before her show.

"I feel like it would be weird if they hooked up or started dating," she told People. "I also want to grow them up as cousins so it will be weird if they slept together. I mean, I wouldn't be mad, because I'll just beat Jenni's a--," she joked.

She also pointed out the obvious height difference, which might make little Lorenzo feel...well, little!

Still, we can't wait for the pics from their first play date...even if it's not a real "date."

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift are definitely a thing of the past, but a weekend sighting of Harry's bandmate Niall Horan at a Taylor concert has drummed up some new feelings in the fandom.

You know, like "What would Harry think about this?" and "WHY is Niall at Taylor's show?"

We've been pretty secure with the idea that none of the One Direction guys are really Tay fans, so why was Niall there to support her?

And he made it to the show with bum knees and all--as he was spotted standing on crutches to enjoy the concert at the O2 arena in London.

Was Niall there as a fan, a friend...or was he checking out Taylor's duet with Brit singer/songwriter Sam Smith of "Money On My Mind?"

Niall made no hint of his appearance, taking to Twitter only to talk about the Super Bowl, writing this jaw-dropping realization: "Watching the Super Bowl! And all I can think of is! "I can't believe we are playing that stadium in the summer" mind blowing shit"

Yep. Mind. Blown.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is being mourned by his Hunger Games costars since his sudden death Sunday night from a heroin overdose.

"Words cannot convey the devastating loss we are all feeling right now," a joint statement from Jennifer Lawrence, director Francis Lawrence and author Suzanne Collins says. "Philip was a wonderful person and an exceptional talent, and our hearts are breaking. Our deepest condolences go out to his family."

Sam Claflin, who portrays Finnick Odair in the hit film franchise, Tweeted about Philip's death, calling the 46-year-old actor "my hero."

"PSH - I am genuinely shocked, saddened and spechless. A truly wonderful man, with a magical touch. My hero. Thoughts are with his family," he wrote.

The Oscar-winning actor played Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbeen in the Hunger Games, and his work on Mockingjay: Part 1 had been completed at the time of his death. There were seven days left of shooting on Mockingjay: Part 2, but both films will be released as scheduled.

Don't worry, Selena Gomez fans: She's not the girl in Justin's alleged sex video. He actually didn't tape it himself as it was allegedly recorded by a club's security camera.

A source who claims to have seen the movie told Radar that the Biebs was caught on tape getting down and dirty with two strippers. In it, he's seen spanking them and taking their clothes off with his teeth. These shenanigans apparently went down while he was in Australia last year.

In a still image provided to RadarOnline.com, Bieber can be seen with his baseball cap on backwards, a security guard nearby and his two partners in crime, who are topless. The seller is reportedly demanding big bucks for his 12-minute clip.

All of this comes right after very raunchy pics of Justin and strippers popped up on the net over the weekend. You can look that episode up online yourself. And as we're sure all of you already know, Justin was just recently arrested for DUI in Miami and assault charges in Toronto.

The 33-year-old reality star showed off her brunette locks over the weekend and it seems that it only took her about a day to grow tired of the more subdued style.

On her Mobio INsider page this morning, Kim wrote, "I'm so annoyed I dyed my hair dark! I wanted to switch it up since I feel everyone went light, and we started filming a new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashian, so wanted a fresh look. BUT now I am missing my light hair! HELP!!! What do I do? Go light again or stay dark and get used to it?"

We can't imagine that it would be THAT hard to get used to, considering Kim had dark hair for...well, most of her life.

This isn't the first time Kim has regretted a sudden hairstyle swap. Last year, she surprised her fans when she debuted some brand new bangs and it took her about a month before she declared that she was officially sick of them.

Before heading to the Super Bowl, Nina Dobrev tried her hand at football at the DirecTV Beach Bowl. See if her team won the celeb-filled game!
It's clear Nina Dobrev was ready for some football.

Before heading to the Super Bowl, the Vampire Diaries star hit the sand at DirecTV's Beach Bowl Saturday, playing football with the likes of John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen, Zachary Levi, Aaron Paul and Michael B. Jordan.

Despite the 25-year-old starlet's best efforts though, her team, which included the Breaking Bad star, lost the celeb-filled battle.

"We lost the game- but hey, 2nd Place is the 1st loser!," Nina wrote on her WhoSay page, posting a photo of herself and Paul pouting.

The next day, the brunette beauty had a blast at the Super Bowl with a few friends, posing for pics inside of the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey before the game began.

"#Superbowl," Nina wrote, posting a shot of herself with a gal pal on Instagram.

Fun times!

Ariel Winter dazzled at her winter formal.

The 16-year-old Modern Family star rocked a sparkly mini dress to her school's formal Saturday night, posting a pic of herself on Instagram posing with her pal Laurent.

"Formal 2014," she wrote, following that shot up with another photo of Laurent and a guy friend at the dance.

"The hotness of formal ???? #whenyouseeit," she captioned the pic.

Prior to the formal, Ariel, who rang in her 16th birthday Jan. 28, posted a couple of early birthday presents she got from friends a few days before her big day.

"Oh just a new pair of Louboutins from @music4joejoe and a beautiful bracelet from @bailey_gossett as my early birthday presents from my best friends....nbd. #freakingout #thankyouguyssomuch #iloveyou #currentlydying #sweet16," she wrote, posting a shot on Instagram of the gifts.

Watching the Denver Broncos get their you-know-whats handed to them by the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl last night was pretty painful. Even more troubling? Catching glimpses of Peyton Manning on the phone during the telecast when what he should have been doing was focusing all of his energy on taking back the game. Who the heck was he talking to anyway?! Turns out, the visibly upset quarterback was actually calling in favors to several big names in hopes of turning things around...

Coca-Cola's Super Bowl ad sparked a debate on social media after it aired at the big game.

So, what was the big deal?

The commercial, which showed people from all walks of life (and many different ethnicities) all over the country, had one particular scene where two dads were skating with their daughter.

It was the first Super Bowl ad that featured a gay family, according to GLAAD.

The song "America the Beautiful" was also included in the commercial, which was sung in eight different languages.

Conservatives were not only up in arms about the scene with the gay dads, but they also had plenty of complaints about the song being sung in a language other than English.

#BoycottCoke even started trending on Twitter after the ad aired, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In the middle of the Super Bowl, a newly cemented Grammy winner tweeted, "i thought the superbowl and the world series were the same thing."

When Taylor Swift wasn't trying to shake off a creepy man fan at her recent London show, she was performing with her buddy Ed Sheeran.

Totally not being a part of the European leg of her tour, the London native stopped by and surprised Taylor's fans with an appearance and awesome duet.

The two BFFs serenaded the crowd with Ed's hit song "Lego House" and it was pretty much amazing. As we all know, Taylor loves to surprise her fans with guest appearances at her shows and this just happened to be one of the best ones.

"First night in London and @edsheeran came out to surprise the crowd with 'Lego House'. Earth-shattering screams ensued. What a lad. #redtour," Taylor wrote on Twitter after the show.

Ed added, "Sung Lego house for the first time ever with a band tonight with @taylorswift13 at her London show. Orsum, thanks for all the love."

Paris Hilton is currently making a reported $100,000 A NIGHT for her current DJ-ing gig and after spinning some tracks in Atlantic City over the weekend, she decided to hit the blackjack tables.

Lady luck was definitely on the heiresses side that night, as she managed to rake in another 50 grand while gambling, according to TMZ.

So, that brings her grand total for Sunday night to $150,000.

Well, hello Liam Payne...check out Liam in a new pic he shared on Twitter, where he's seen posing on his sunny vacation, holding shells over his bare chest.

Yep, let that one sink in.

Liam appears to be on vacay with his girlfriend, Sophia Smith.

He tweeted: "Hello mr @scott_mills listenin to you far away on holiday thank you for providing the soundtrack to our beach view"

Liam added, "@scott_mills please could you play ready for your love and give a shout out to my girlfriend sophia smith whos birthday is in 5 days time :)"

Of course, now there's a big guessing game about where Sophia and Liam are staying--what beach did they jet off to and are they staying in a private cabana?

How romantic.

Disney star Mia Talerico might only be 5 years old, but she's already having to deal with some very adult stuff.

The Good Luck Charlie actress is reportedly receiving death threats on her Instagram page, which currently has over 300,000 followers.

According to TMZ, the death threats started last month, with one message reading "Die Mia, F**king Die in hell! Kill yourself, you deserve to die."

They also posted a disturbing photo of her head with a bloody fist and the caption "Yes kill you stupid b*tch."

Apparently, Mia's mother contacted Disney security and they informed law enforcement, who are currently investigating the case and trying to track down the suspect.

Scary stuff.

The couple who tweets together, stays together--right?

Katy Perry is essentially the queen of the Twitterverse and now it looks like John Mayer is ready to try to reign with her.

The "Roar" singer's boyfriend just re-joined Twitter after almost a four-year absence from the social media site.

In a series of tweets on January 31, John wrote, "I'm back. What'd I miss? ...I'm the Kenny Powers of Twitter...I'll be honest, when it came to rejoining twitter, I had mixed emojis" and to show that he's social media savvy, he also encouraged his followers to follow his ladylove for #FF.

Katy returned the favor and encouraged her 50 MILLION follwers to follow him, too, writing, "FOLLOW FRIDAY @JohnMayer who's account has basically been in a coma state for a couple of years. Let's update him on all the cat youtubes he ...may have missed pls! Thanks!"

Of course, John will need a lot of hugely successful Fridays to catch up to Katy, who is currently the most followed Twitter user ever. Right now, he's still hovering under half a million followers.
