It was an emotional night at
X Factor.
While the acts had their most challenging night by taking on two songs each, it was their unplugged numbers that required the Kleenex. The boys of
Restless Road took on "Wake Me Up" by
Avicii and not only did they bring tears to
Demi Lovato's eyes, but also their own.
"For me it was just singing that song, those words," said
Zach Beeken about getting emotional. "Just singing the way we did on stage on the stools. It all came together in that moment for me like, 'Wow, I'm really here.'"
Colton Pack couldn't hold back the waterworks either. "I started crying and then I looked up--Demi is already emotional anyway and if anyone cries, it's going to be bad," he told us. "I looked up and Demi goes, 'Stop making me cry!'" But what really hit home for him was
Kelly Rowland's comment. "Kelly was talking about how we left it all out there. We really did, that's the best I've ever felt about any song I've done in my life."
The world may be talking about these three country boys, but they've got their eyes on the bigger picture. "Whether there's buzz about us or anything, we've really been ignoring all that because as we've seen in the past you don't know who is going to go home," said Colton. "We're just focusing on each and every week making sure we have the right song and perform it the best we possibly can. If we do that every week, the rest will fall into place."
They were strangers before getting put together as a group, but they've chatted with people who were once in their same position. "When
One Direction was here, just being able to get a second to talk to them and see what life has been like for the last year for them was great," said Zach. "It's great we get to talk to
Fifth Harmony, One Direction and potentially
Emblem3 to see what their journey's been like."
How do you think Restless Road did? And don't forget to catch Emblem3 perform on
X Factor tonight!
