We had an awesome time hanging with Jake T. Austin during our recent live Q&A with him!So when we caught up with him on the red carpet at this year's Teen Choice Awards, he gave us an update on how things have been on The Fosters' set.
The Fosters is an ABC Family show that focuses on a lesbian couple raising their children together. "It's been a really great experience to be apart of something that feels relatable and connected," Jake told us, "And that's what we're trying to do, to carry that story with us and hopefully we keep making more."
So far things are sounding good on set. "It's been fun! From day 1 we've had a lot of challenges," said Jake. "Each episode introduces a new topic, some of it being controversial," he continued, "But we've had a great time."
He enjoys interacting with viewers as much as possible. "I love getting feedback from the fans," Jake shared. "And I love being able to reach out, especially from my Twitter." In fact, "It keeps us motivated and interested in making new episodes," he added.
