John Mayer is finally talking about his new song "Paper Doll" and if it's really about Taylor Swift like everyone assumed it is! When he recently visited The Today Show, he talked about his new single "Paper Doll" and was even asked if it was about Taylor.
"There's been some speculation from the press that it might be about someone," co-host Willie Geist asked John, without directly mentioning Tay's name.
"True or false?"
"Yeah, songwriters write songs because of people, about people," John said.
"Anything someone else wrote is their reception of a song. I don't get involved with [it]. It's none of my business."
Hmm, not really a clear answer there John! Sounds like he was trying to avoid the whole thing. But, we still totally think it's about her!
Many speculated that John's new single was a response to her song "Dear John" a few years ago that was obviously about him and that he openly admitted embarrassed him.
