We caught up with Alex Russell from the movie Chronicle to comment on the movie. Besides talking about the movie's success, Russell talks about a possible sequel. He said there were some things in the movie that were left unexplored. He hopes for the sequel to go in a different approach such as explaining where the powers came from.

We talked to the cast and the director last week to talk about the movie and their experience while filming it.

Chronicle is about a group of teenage friends who gain superhuman abilities to use for mischief and personal gain until of them uses the powers for darker purposes. The sci-fi thriller has been receiving positive reviews from critics, and topped the box office in its opening weekend, edging out Daniel Radcliffe's Woman in Black

When it comes to Valentine's advice, who better to give some real, down-to-earth advice than JWoww. As she admits, when it comes to relationships she has done it all: the breakups, makeups and much, much more.

As far as JWoww is concerned, everyone puts too much importance on Valentines Day. Girls, she suggests you don't expect too much from your man. Maybe expect a nice dinner or flowers, but do not expect diamonds. JWoww also has some good tips for the guys: remember it's a special day for your girl, so make her feel special - a simple gesture would work. JWoww personally loves a card from her boyfriend Roger. JWoww is back with more love advice (check out part one of her advice here). If you want your ex back, JWoww wants you to think about why. She has gotten back together with exes many times only to find out that they still are annoying. However, JWoww does have a tip for how to get your ex back if you really are sure. What is it? Ignore him. Based on personal experience, JWoww guarantees that ignoring the one you love will have him running after you.

When it comes to crushes, the best thing to do is NOT ask them on a date on Valentine's Day. The pressure of the day could make it a disaster. Instead, if you have a crush, ask him out a few weeks before Valentine's Day. If you build up to the romantic day, you should have a great date. JWoww's parting advice for all you single guys and girls out there is to enjoy yourself and just have a fun night out.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' star talked about attending the 2012 People's Choice Awards and hanging out with the 'Can't Be Tamed' singer, a moment she said was "really nice."

However, Vanessa also revealed something else. "We found out that we have the same tattoo!" she said. "It's an om [symbol]."

Vanessa has one-half of the tattoo on the outer edge of her two pinkie fingers, so that they create the symbol when she puts her hands together. The actress says Miley's tattoo is on her left wrist.

What do you think of the stars having the same image inked on their bodies? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' opens in theaters nationwide today.

Cambio was at the red carpet premiere of This Means War at Graumann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood and chatted with Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Handler, Tom Hardy and Director McG, who produces Cambio's very own Aim High series.

McG said that Reese and her two co-stars, Tom and Chris Pine, did some daring stunt work for the film.

"Both the guys are super familiar with action pictures so they're very comfortable with that genre," said McG. "Reese did a lot of her own stunts as well where we swung her up on a wire, hung her feet off the ground, she tore her hand open on some broken glass in a headlight, [and] we tumbled a big car at her."

According to Reese, it wasn't actually as bad as McG says.

"What's he talking about! I did some stunts. I did the flame thrower scene and that was kinda cool but for everything else I had an awesome stunt lady."

We also asked Chelsea, Tom and McG if they would be good CIA agents.

"I'd be a good one. I'm pretty perspicacious. I pay attention to everything and I have a pretty good memory but I don't have any real follow through. I get distracted very easily so I'd have to really be on a serious mission," said Chelsea.

Just because Chelsea used the word perspicacious, which means having insight or understanding, we think she would be a great agent too!

Beyonce and Jay-Z released the first photos of their newborn daughter Blue Ivy on Friday, along with a request for privacy.

"We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter Family," a handwritten note read. The note was then photographed and included with other shots of Beyonce and Jay-Z holding Blue Ivy.

In the photos, Blue Ivy can be seen wrapped in a polka-dotted blanket and also surrounded by striped blankets. Look for yourself, but you can definitely see similar facial features between her mom and dad... along with a full head of hair!

The photos were released on Jay-Z's blog Life and Times. Immediately after the photos were published, the site was down for a brief period of time.

What do you think of the photos of the baby? Are you surprised they didn't sell them to a magazine for money? Leave your comments and well wishes for little Blue below.

Behind-The-Scenes Grammy Blog #1

On Wednesday as part of the GRAMMY Camp Media Team, I attended two GRAMMY Week events in Los Angeles, GRAMMY Camp - Basic Training in the morning, and GRAMMY in the Schools Live! in the evening.

Despite hosting over 700 students and countless music industry professionals, GRAMMY Camp - Basic Training had just a few powerful messages for its attendees: work hard, be true to yourself, and don't take no for an answer.

A sort of educational music business summit, GRAMMY Camp - Basic Training brought together students from Los Angeles-area high schools and artists, producers, songwriters, entrepreneurs, engineers, and more for a day of music and career exploration.

"I always hear people say, 'I'm waiting for my big break,'" songwriter and producer Jimmy Jam said to students during a panel. "I want you to take the word 'waiting' out of your vocabulary. You should be saying, 'I'm preparing for my big break.'"

Jam was joined by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" music director Rickey Minor, singer/songwriter and "American Idol" contestant Didi Benami, and songwriter and producer Evan Bogart, among others.

Bogart stressed originality and honesty as key to succeeding in the music industry.

"You have to be open and honest with your partnership and with yourself," Bogart said. "Not all work is good work, but standing for who you are as an artist is smart work."

%Gallery-147050%

Several sessions featured unique participation by both panelists and students. One, which featured an array of music directors, producers, and instrumentalists, concluded with a rousing performance of singer/songwriter and "American Idol" contestant Lacey Brown's hit "Let It Go." Another on music production included a contest to find the most talented singer in the room. Lots of shouting and cheering ensued.

The final event of the day was an hour-long performance by members of the GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session.

Perhaps Kevin Ricard, a percussionist, summarized the theme of Basic Training best:

"Be versatile and make yourself marketable," he said. "Create a pathway for yourself. Being single-minded about what you want to do will lead to a career."

The third annual GRAMMY in the Schools Live! brought together GRAMMY-winning artists and the next generation of musical talent for a spectacular concert to benefit GRAMMY in the Schools and its programs at the University of Southern California.

"Tonight is all about music and education," Pat Prescott, 94.7 the Wave DJ and host of GRAMMY in the Schools Live!, said Wednesday night, "two things that need to go together a whole lot more than they have been lately."

The GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session big band, under the direction of Manhattan School of Music's Justin Dicioccio, began with a jaw-dropping set that covered everything from Dizzy Gilespie to Count Basie. The GRAMMY Camp Alumni Band then took the stage to play three songs, which included an electrifying cover of Janelle Monáe's "Tightrope."

Current nominee Terri Lyne Carrington and last year's Best New Artist winner Esperanza Spalding performed a diverse selection with members of the GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session combo and choir. Spalding's ability to simultaneously play complex basslines and sing mesmerized the audience.

Spalding said jazz music was fitting for the purpose and theme of the event.

"The culture of the music is community," Spalding said. "We want to illuminate that reality. I'm so glad that [GRAMMY in the Schools] is here. It's an experience I couldn't get at home."

Spalding also noted the strong influence Carrington had on her as a musician.

"There would be no Esperanza Spalding without Terri Lyne," Spalding said. "Everything she does is something that hasn't been done before."

The evening was capped with a rousing performance by Anthony Hamilton and students in GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session. A journey through hits hits, including "Charlene" and "Woo," had the audience on their feet.

"Education and practice are really important," Spalding said. "These programs are great for students to strive for."

It was a star-studded night at the GRAMMY Foundation's MusiCares gala where attendees gathered to honor Sir Paul McCartney as Person of the Year. Those who walked the red carpet included everyone from Christina Perri, Jason Mraz, Foo Fighters, India Arie to legends like Herbie Hancock to Hollywood elite like Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson. Katy Perry also performed at the event.

Jason Mraz captured the essence of the night as he explained what a great cause MusiCares is, not only because they throw the best party of the year, but also because MusiCares helps out musicians who have fallen on hard times. Herbie Hancock added that there are many musical heroes who need the help of MusiCares.

When it comes to his music, it was obvious that Paul McCartney had inspired every person on the carpet that night. Christina Perri's favorite songs from Sir Paul's catalog are "I Will," "Calico Skies" and "Maybe, I'm Amazed." India Arie said that Paul McCartney inspired her to be both unique and simple, while Rita Wilson reminisced about how she learned harmonies by listening to the songs of The Beatles. Rita Wilson believes that there are just too many favorites for her to pick only one, but her hubby Tom Hanks wanted to be original with his choice of song, citing the B-sides like "Dr Robert" as his favorites. Other favorites included "Fool on a Hill" for singer Alison Krauss, "Blackbird" for India Arie and "Heart of the Country" for Jason Mraz.

Make sure to check back over the weekend for more coverage of the 2012 GRAMMY Awards.

Several current and former GRAMMY nominees, winners and stars, musical and otherwise, walked the red carpet into one of the most exciting events in music Friday night. MusiCares, a foundation serving the needs of struggling musicians in need, honored Paul McCartney for his musical and philanthropic achievements throughout his life. Several renowned musicians such as Coldplay, Katy Perry, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Foo Fighters, James Taylor, Neil Young and many more covered some of McCartney's many hits at his honorary dinner. On the red carpet, many stars stopped to tell us why music is an important element of a young person's development. Many agreed that it teaches values such as discipline, creativity and dedication.

An incredible amount of people at the Person Of The Year gala said they were influenced by Paul McCartney's music over the years. On many instances, stars such as Tom Hanks said their favorite songs of Paul's were his less popular songs and his B-sides. Tons of musicians walking the red carpet recalled their first musical memory of The Beatles' as magical and unforgettable.

In addition to having legendary Beatles' tunes covered, such as Katy Perry's moving acoustic performance of "Hey Jude", artists also covered songs by McCartney's later group, Wings. At the performance last night, McCartney performed two brand new songs off of his new album "Kisses on the Bottom" featuring pianist Diana Krall. "My Valentine" was the first new song performed last night which he dedicated to his wife, Nancy Shevell. His final song featured an amazing series of fading guitar solos between Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Joe Walsh of the Eagles, Paul McCartney and his guitarist, Rusty Anderson.

Between the excitement at the red carpet, the world renowned performers at the gala, and the 6.5 million dollars raised for MusiCares, Person Of The Year has continued its tradition of being one of the most exciting annual events in music.

Grammy Blog #3: One Night Only Grammy Event

AP

The GRAMMY Foundation is known for its youth education programs, but on Feb. 9 a different philanthropic effort was showcased. One Night Only: A Celebration of the Live Music Experience, held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, Calif., proved that music preservation and concert events are still alive and thriving.

The Foundation operates the Music Preservation Project, giving grants and cultivating its Living Histories archive by restoring aged recordings and preserving their cultural legacy. One Night Only took attendees through a musical history tour of concerts past and present.

Julian Ring interviews Bret Michaels

The show featured several high profile artists, some of whom have won or are nominated for GRAMMYs. Co-hosts Sharon Osbourne and Steve Vai introduced a slew of young and old talent to the stage. Saxaphonist Dave Koz and Trombone Shorty dueted on Duke Ellington's "Take The A-Train" to a stunned audience, with Shorty holding a single note for over two minutes during a solo.

Mavis Staples and Ledisi (who is nominated for three GRAMMYs this year) showed their funkier side on several tunes, including Staples's own "I'll Take You There." A Fine Frenzy and Shelby Lynne played their own haunting, sparsely arranged ballads.

Some of the night's biggest highlights were tunes performed by guitarists Robert Cray and Jonny Lang . Cray's straightforward blues was a crowd-pleaser, while Lang covered Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" with a heavier touch.

"The Voice" finalist Beverly McClellan brought attitude to her set, which also featured Lang. Marc Martel was a dead ringer for Freddie Mercury during his medley of Queen tunes.

Singer/songwriter L.P., though short in stature, filled the theater with her voice, especially on Radiohead's anthem "Creep." To close out the evening, Bret Michaels sang and played harmonica on several high-energy songs that had the crowd on their feet.

Between each set, Osbourne, Vai, and several members of the GRAMMY Foundation spoke about the unique aspects of the concert experience. Short videos and slideshows featured interesting stories from industry personnel.

If support for music preservation wasn't apparent before, it certainly was everywhere during One Night Only.

Julian Ring is a GRAMMY Camp music journalism student who was selected to cover GRAMMY Week 2012 as part of the GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session media team. To find out more about GRAMMY Camp and to apply for this summer, go to GRAMMYintheschools.com. Deadline is March 31, 2012.
